ukpc advice

Just after some advice about my situation I brought a house on a new estate the company who are suppose to look after maintenance have employed ukpc to enforce no parking for commercial vehicles. I have had a couple of tickets in the past which I have paid are they allowed to enforce this due to the roads being a public place ? I have to have a van due to my work but there is no parking so I park it on the road. Any help on where I stand with this matter would be appreciated

Ypu can stand where ver you want but start by having a good read of the Newbies Sticky, which should outline the various options nicely:

Then post back her if you need any further help or advice. :)

Never pay them, not when you can defeat them everytime at POPLA. All the usual points of No GPEOL, Poor Signage etc are valid in your case.

If you fight each and every ticket, they'll probably stop picking on you as they'll find it's not worth it. By paying them you have identified yourself as being easy prey.

What would happen for deliveries etc? Can you get all the residents together and demand a meeting with the management company to air your concerns about UKPC practices and the draconian 'rules'

Use the template in the Newbie thread.

Personally I prefer online but the choice is yours. Just follow the appeal procedures on the PCN.

You're making hard work of this ! Whatever you like, just get the appeal off, wait for the rejection and then appeal properly to POPLA.

Hang on, this is a residential complex and the ban is IMO perfectly reasonable, and not only reasonable, but quite common.

If you park a commercial vehicle where it is not allowed, the Managing Agents are perfectly entitled to take you to court, just as they are if you do not pay your management charges.

Even if you beat the PPC, you could still find yourself in a lot of trouble.

    Absolute rubbish.

Seriously, I've seen you post some utter drivel on here before but this tops the lot. YOU'RE the one always banging on about owner / tenants rights and now you think made up rules by the MA override these rights ??????

OP - just get your appeal off to the PPC and then use our help for POPLA - you will win.
