Oops, clearly the OP has not read the stickies or the rules, please read the stickies and then start your own thread.
On reading back, I see that the original poster was given some very poor advice, especially from Bazster, who has been criticized several times on here and other fora for this sort of thing, be warned, Bazster is a know all who does not know as much as he thinks he does. You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0 -

Harsh TD, very harsh.
I've re-read the thread and I can find no input by Bazster to the OP in any way, other than one tongue-in-cheek comment after the case was all settled, and one link which was confirming that a set aside fee is £155. Care to quote other inputs from him on this case? Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Not so harsh, he has considerable form. Read this and follow the links, he is a serial offender.

Hi I have a similar situation and received the same e mail today so does this mean I still have to go to court to get ccj set aside or is it settled ?I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0

TD, methinks you are confusing me with Buzby (concerning whom I agree with you, having crossed swords with him myself on at least one occasion).Je suis Charlie.0 -

Oh dear, age doesn't come alone!
I thought it a bit strange as I was under the impression you'd met his criteria for the occasional push on the 'Thanks' button.

Oh dear me, I apologise most sincerely old man, I am at my Spanish abode and have perhaps been overindulgent with the Rioja. You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0

This is the funniest thread I have read in ages. And all pretty unintentional. Fishy story, mud slinging, mistaken identify and Rioja. Its a great combo.

A bit of lighthearted banter between regulars helps brighten some of the Groundhog Days we frequently have to wade through.
By the way TD, your Bazstergate posting was at 4.17am - that couldn't have been the first bottle of vino tinto you opened last night - hic! Please note, we are not a legal advice forum.
