Morning
Wel as usual it's w**k for me today and tomorrow so v little or no flying will get done. After work tonight we are having tea at Nannies as they don't get to see DD as much as they would like at the mo. DS will be there as they help to look after him while I am at work. Then tomorrow it will be dinner at Nanan's (Friday night is chippy night) so that's those meals sorted!
Pigpen I too would be terrified of the thought of getting out there but the first time is always the worst and usually for me the anticipation is worse than the event. Aside from the cost issue three hours a week for an A level sounds more manageable than jumping straight into a degree at this point in time. So you are not copping out Mrs and don't you forget it
JillD todays tasks are posted on the first post of this thread which is updated each evening by lil_me good luck.
Rach glad the reception got sorted, success out of the jaws of potential disaster eh. Although you should not have had to twist their arms as they had previously said they would honour all bookings. If they had said sorry but no can do I would have been telling them that they would have to stump up the difference in cost of an alternative location. I can be quite assertive when I want to be, they usually get me to make the complaints phone calls at work :rotfl:
And with that ladies (and flyboy if he is still around) I am off. Will catch up with you all at the weekend if not before.

Hiya
Won't be doing much today as I have DS off. He's not been sick since 1am and says he feels fine but I don't like sending them in till they've been well for 24 hours so i've a bouncing 6 year old to drive me up the wall. Bless!
Saying that, i've put two loads in the washing machine so far and what to make a delia children's cake in practise for the beavers party next week so hopefully have time to do that.
Have a great day xxJanuary budget

Morning all :hello: On my second cup of coffee as I was up until gone midnight listening to ghost stories on the radio  Fortunately I know the author who was reading them/doing the show (anything paranormal or weird, unsolved crimes etc) so there were a couple I knew I couldn't listen to just before going to bed so I "pottered" with the radio off for 5 minutes :rotfl:
DD is off tomorrow (inset) so I need to get the housework done todayOH has asked me to do him a favour, which might have to be done after school or tomorrow, or maybe put off until the weekend - who knows it just depends on when I have time to get around to doing it!
Fortunately the bathroom is done daily (or a good go on a Monday if I haven't managed it over the weekend) and the desk is part of the livingroom so it gets done then so Thursday is my catch up day
For once it doesn't look that bad either

the first time is always the worst and the second time I am absolutely fine usually, I think I am so used to being able to hide behind the children that when it comes to being just me I can't handle, I feel I have nothing to offer other than that level of cinversation.. when in truth I know better than that.. lack of self confidence I think at this point.. I'll find something which appeals to me I suppose..

Morning everyone.
My list is starting to look silly again, but i keep plodding on. DH got up with Charlie at 6:30 this morning for me, and let me lie in while he dealt with breakie, which i was very grateful for. WM has been emptied of bibs washed last night, refilled with my trousers, they have been washed. Just need to hang everything up now and get dressed, then it will probably be time to go out. I am planning on being back early this afternoon though, and having a good tidy up.

I'm probably not going to manage much flying this week - I got the flat into a manageable state for my mum coming down... from now til hometime it will just be damage limitation
pigpen - I did an A level course a couple of years ago, for 3 hours on a Monday night. I had already 'done' the education thing - but was starting to feel my brain shrinking from lack of useI would definitely recommend it - there was a good mix of people there and it was great to do something just for me that was separate from the rest of the my life! (I deliberately chose something that wasn't anything to do with my career)
Another plus side to it - I think the course cost about £60 - but I got a full NUS card with that and saved over £200 when buying new appliances from argos with my 15% discount!!!:money: I heart Martin! :money:0 -
Chivas., thanks.. the A-level courses are actually about £300 plus exam fees. Mind you, with an NUS card I'd probably save a small fortune in the pub lol!!!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0

Ah - I didn't do the exam and had to buy the course equipment myself... Do you get all the textbooks etc included with that??
I think I would do another one - just to get my NUS card back! I live in Brighton, so there are loads of places that do the discounts :money: I heart Martin! :money:0
