  • Such a long time since I've done this!
I even polished the dining room furniture with a homemade mix of mineral oil, white vinegar and mandarin essential oil: it looks amazing (and smells delicious too!)
If I'm not here for a while I've run off with a very handsome soldier that I'm meeting to discuss the Fiesta with - not only is he handsome AND wears a uniform - but he is literate and talks poetry - now HOW amazing is that?;)

Manic Monday - Kitchen and Dining Room
    Level One
[STRIKE]Clear and wipe kitchen surfaces [/STRIKE]
    Level Two
    Clean floors
[STRIKE]Clean cupboard door fronts and the front of appliances[/STRIKE]
Sort fridge bringing what needs using soon to the front
[STRIKE]Dust any extra furniture in dining room, checking for cobwebs on way round[/STRIKE]
    Level Three
[STRIKE]Wipe dining table (clean table cloth if necessary)[/STRIKE]

[STRIKE]Wipe window sills, clean any marks off windows if required[/STRIKE]
Wash the washer drawer out if it's gunky
Clean oven if you didn’t do it last week
    Extra Mission
    Choose one or more of:

    • Wipe the outside of all your small appliances (kettle, toaster etc)
    • Clean out your vacuum cleaner, get rid of the hair from the brushes, clean the filters is they are washable and clean anything else you can like the ‘muck bucket’ etc, make sure you leav it to dry thoroughly before putting it back together.
    • Clean out the freezer, I find the vacuum cleaner is good for getting up any crumbs in the bottom or stray peas etc. Defrost it if it needs it.
    • Sort through one cupboard, emptying it, wiping it out and wiping items before putting them back
    Is it home time yet?

Today I also did so much washing and drying, thanks to sunshine and wind, that I can see the bottom of the washing basket!! Not seen for at least a year!!
Cleaned out the car, cleared the coffee table and i now have a vase of flowers on it! Decluttered the tool cupboard in the kitchen and have two bags of stuff to take to the tip.

I shine the sink every night now and when I come down in the morning I find that DH has washed his cereal bowl and spoon and put them on the drainer instead of just leaving them on the bench! Just shows-lead by example!!

Can't wait until I have conquered all of the house!

    Happy cleaning!;)

I've not been about these past couple of days, I have a rotten stinking cold (yesterday I had sinus pain and streaming nose, to the point I wanted to cry!) plus I threw my back out on Friday night, and it's still a bit tender.

I want to get back on top of things, I left the kitchen tidy tonight except for a sinkful of dishes or rather cutlery - all the dishes are on the worktop next to the sink. :( should be easy to get done in the morning anyway.
Hope all is well with everyone x

Hello all. I MUST get back on board this week, so beware that I will be requiring a few nudges and boots up the b*m to get me going.

Keeping Monday and Tuesday simple as per usual . . .

    Monday:
    • One load of washing - towels on clothesline
    • Weekly menu - Done
    • Grocery list - Done
    • Grocery shopping
    • Pay phone bill
    • Work
    • Dinner - spag bol tonight
    • Wipe down kitchen bench & appliances
    • Wipe out oven
    • Go through kids & our clothes ready for donating tomorrow
Think that's it for me today.

Can't even add walk the dog. She was attacked last week by 4 pig dogs that were being exercised in the same area as we were in, so she's still on recovery mode. Poor wee thing. It's been a very emotional week for us. I try to keep thinking "shes just a dog", but she's not LOL
We have also begun to use the Dog Listener training book (Jan Fennell) and we need to do a week or so worth of training at home before we can walk her.

Denise They're never 'just' dogs are they ? Hugs to you, hope she gets over the ordeal.

I am going for a level 3 this week, starting after work and school/football runs...got to get things in order before they break up. I realise it will all go to pot after that but at least it will be easy maintainance (sp?).

    Starting with ironing right now.

    Well I've made a start.

I had a great weekend. Went swimming with kids and they really enjoyed it. I couldn't believe how confident my 4yr old DS was. He is a quiet child and usually needs lots of encouragement to join in anything but at the pool he was off:D They all really enjoyed it. Even me:o.
Then yesterday we spent a few hours at the park, I played a few games of tennis with DS1, 13yr old, and generally spent some fun time as a family. we dont get much opportunities to do it so it was lovely. Then we had a lovely sunday roast(my fave meal of the week). And then i made some hobnobs. not many left now though.
So even though i didn't get me time i did have a good weekend. I'll have my me time tonight when i go to bingo, bonus is i won't stink of smoke when i get home now either!:j
Bye for now will update later
    Nothing to declare ;)
