Why do you think that internet is cheap? Have you checked their website?
67p/Mb doesn't look cheap to me.
Incoming calls are free, but 23p/min for outgoing calls in Greece isn't very cheap either.

Some old thread: Toggle Mobile for abroad? What about in the UK?
AFAIK expensive calls to Lyca numbers isn't the case anymore.

It's not just expensive, but unlawful, given that the EU price cap is 45p/MB.

Out of curiosity I checked traveltalk sim, and it shows £16.50/Mb:eek:. Yes, pounds, not pence.

It depends on how and where you would use it.

Why not take a look at their website togglemobile.co.uk?

If you use the SIM in one of the 13 Toggle markets and are calling someone in one of those 13 countries, you pay 3p/minute to call a landline and 3p/ or 9p/minute to call a mobile (depending on country called). Receiving calls is free in 20+ countries.

It's important to register the SIM to get the 3p/9p rates. This is explained on the website.

I've used mine in the USA and Switzerland and find 3p/minute most acceptable and competitive with most alternatives.

I think that Toggle mostly complies with the EU price caps in practice and that its published prices are out of date. The only countries and territories where I believe that Toggle breaches the price caps in practice are:
    • Iceland (EEA, non-EU)
    • Liechtenstein (EEA, non-EU)
    • Norway (EEA, non-EU)
    • Gibraltar (a special member state territory of the EU)
    • Åland Islands (autonomous region of Finland and in the EU)
    • French Guiana (an integral part of France and the EU)
    • Guadeloupe (an integral part of France and the EU)
    • Martinique (an integral part of France and the EU)
    • Reunion (an integral part of France and the EU)
    • Canary Islands (an integral part of Spain and the EU)
    • Ceuta (an integral part of Spain and the EU)
    • Melilla (an integral part of Spain and the EU)

I agree, especially as the sim cost nothing. New customers have not pay at least £25 for £20 starting credit.

Not quite true Grumbler. If you order a sim online you will be charged £25 and given £22 credit. However, if you email or call no on website to request sim it will be free and sent at no cost. A £20 online top up then gives you £22 credit. A high minimum credit but if you are travelling to a toggle country it could save you a bundle. I'm going to the US and calls inside the US will cost me 3/9p instead of £1+ per minute and US and UK callers can still reach me at local rate. It won't work for everyone, depending on destination, but it's a very good deal for some.
Just because somebody is certain doesn't mean they are right!

Åland isn't part of the EU

Are you sure? Taking Wikipedia as source would seem to say otherwise.
Åland, a group of islands belonging to Finland, but with partial autonomy, located between Sweden and Finland, with a Swedish-speaking population, joined the EU along with Finland in 1995. The islands had a separate referendum on accession and like the Finnish mainland voted in favour.

EU law, including the fundamental four freedoms, applies to Åland.

However there are some derogations due to the islands' special status. Åland is outside the VAT area[2] and is exempt from common rules in relation to turnover taxes, excise duties and indirect taxation.
