Hi all changed a few bits in the new house already - new kitchen handles and toliet seat / shower bits. Cleaning is full steam ahead although not too bad - he did try really!! Got to sort buying a washer/dryer and the bath room totally needs doing - its a small one and he's squeezed a bath in but really its too small for one and it has caused lots of issues (he has this complicated mental wire structure for the shower curtains and it reminiscent of a horror movie!!) so we are going to check out the local bathroom shops later....
Penny is arriving on 23rd July so we've been buying bits and bobs for that.
We also spent £400 in ikea on wardrobes, under bed storage (no airing cupboard and need somewhere for linens) and a few other bits.
Luckily, best news of all, is that this is my loan payment which means I will be debt free! Now I spend on my San 123 cc but clear in full every month so no issues there..... but exciting stuff eh?!? Debt free on 4th July xx

Happy Monday everyone! Hope all is well with everyone?
So this busy weekend is over and I've got a busy week including picking up the puppy on Saturday. We are getting sorted for her arrival including getting her cadge etc all set up and making sure we've got lots of toys etc ready for her.
DH has over spent this month which means that savings are taking a hit. I'm not worried - I thought this would happen as we had to pay rent, mortgage, council tax for two properties and bills for both.
We would love to get the bathroom redone but quotes start at £4k and go up to £8k! seems crazy for such a small room really. We will have to wait a while for that to get done.
Next month should be much cheaper hahaha - mortgage is less than rent and less than this month as its just a normal monthly payment. Plus not having to go to BnQ all the time and get little bits along with no expensive IKEA trips!

Wow it has been a while since I posted sorry for the lack of contact!
So, August was an expensive month. I got DH to pay his car insurance in a lump sum rather than monthly - which is fine but of course he was then broke for the rest of the month so it meant that I've had to sub him all month.
Holidays - we are planning on a small trip to Italy. £135 was received back from solicitors (amazing bonus!) and we need another £200 as accommodation is free. Plus £100 for puppy care. So we are doing a car boot again this weekend so fingers crossed.
We also are planning a big holiday next year as I turn 30! We want to travel around Canada and do a little trip to NYC.... exciting!!
Penny the Puppy is amazingly well behaved and easy, it is very rewarding and I am loving owning a dog. I have made lots of new friends and enjoying every second of socialising together.
Hope you are all well and enjoy the bank holiday xxx
