Why do I need a court order to know my history (if it's available)? Makes no sense to me.

I agree, you don't need a court order to see your own data. Provided you can prove that you are who you say you are, you have a legal right to see the data a company holds for you. You may have to pay £10 to get the data, and you may or may not get a full set of data, see my previous posts in this thread.

Possibly youre mum has signed up for one of these 'free trials' and she had to cancel at the end of the trial period. and obviously has forgotten. This happens all the time.

Its took her an awful long time to spot it if she is pretty au fait with this sort of thing (you said so earlier)

And my other point is that if she had won prizes on this lottery, surely the winning amount would have been credited to the card, so only she could benefit from the win.

I cant see any reason for a refund to be quite honest.
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.

The IP address lookup is a load of tosh it means nothing. Typically any ISP's IP address ranges will be registered within the data centre / node they route through. For example my IP is registered to a Sheffield address, I live 80 miles away from Sheffield..

The only information you could gain from that is the ISP it belongs to, which could contradict your mother's ISP. But that is not to say she signed up for their service(s) from someone else's network.

Is she sure she hasn't signed up for any online website trials, loans, broker services, etc?

Normally after the original deposit is withdrawn to the same card, any extra winnings can be withdrawn to other card or by other means.

I don't believe they gave you an ip address, or that you were able to look up the postcode of the user.

How did you look it up?

Have to agree with you on this one :)

Try doing some research before confidently asserting things you dont understand.

    What's your point?

Checking your current IP address isn't a problem.

Linking the address to the exact geographical location (post code) is.
I don't see any information about my location in your link (except Country :United Kingdom gb.png LOL)

You can not look up the post code of a user from the IP address. The best that you will get is the postcode of your ISP or the POP that the ISP is using
