I was so excited by my first 1p find a few years ago that I bought all I could. Still have 12 jars of caperberries now! Anyone have any idea of what to do with them other than add them to Dr O's pizzas :rotfl:

I think what you realise is that glitches are ongoing so you don't need to go mad. I will rush out if something is particularly cheap and I use a lot of it but I won't regularly go out of my way for a glitch.

I maybe do 2 or 3 shops of each useful glitch. I also like to do just one glitch per shop as it takes a lot less planning and if it goes wrong I haven't lost much. I prefer to keep my APG's to £5 or less usually. If something seems dubious I won't try it as I can't afford to lose the money.

I did make an exception with the Dr O pizzas and put a huge amount of time and effort into getting overage on nearly all my mocs but I now have a freezer full of pizzas and we do actually like them.

.......and I don't think if it was just me and DH that we would use a lot of the glitch stuff but with 2 DD's its altogether different.
DD1 had wanted the Aussie conditioner for ages and loves the John Frieda blonde shampoo. They only get Fizzy when it glitches. DD1 loves the Taste Inc burgers for a treat. DD2 acquired quite a taste for the Lattes last year.

    Mortgage-free Glee!
    Morning all.
Was out in the garden very early yesterday (for me) 8am as it looked like a lovely day was going to happen. We have bindweed growing so carefully sprayed all the many little patches of it with round-up I purchased Sunday. It has to be dry for at least 6hrs to take properly. It only started to rain after 4hrs and then we had thunder & lightening.

No glitches or 'proper' shopping done for ages. I think I'm starting to feel like David - if I don't need it, I'm NOT hoarding it any more!

It's taken me quite a while to get here BUT as I still have boxes of assorted cereals (I rarely eat cereal as would prefer porridge) that are well OOD + enough stuff to clean house/do laundry dozens of time over. Shampoo will probably last me out.:eek: etc. etc. I've stepped well back.

It's not a bargain if you have to buy units to store it in and it takes over the house. I'm just buying what I need now (although I can't resist good whoopsies) and hoping sometime in the near future I can clear the kitchen out enough to enable us to get a badly needed new one. Essentials only from now on!

I've been REALLY good in the last 6 months. I've only had 1 APG and spent it on the last day it was possible to on essentials. I'm trying hard not to succumb to any more glitches that I don't really need.

I wonder how many more of you are realising that this can take you over if you're not careful? I'm SO trying to buy now ONLY what we need or will use up in a shortish time frame and things that are also healthy/good for you.

I think there are quite a few of us not hoarding as we would havw done previously. I only get them if it's something we buy normally. Otherwise I was getting stuff and giving it away. Im also bad at the fillers as couldnt face going through when apg almost matches bill total.

This year is about us saving as much real cash as possible.

Our mortgage total is our goal. So im concentrating on earning rather than spending :)
