  • Morning all.
Was out in the garden very early yesterday (for me) 8am as it looked like a lovely day was going to happen. We have bindweed growing so carefully sprayed all the many little patches of it with round-up I purchased Sunday. It has to be dry for at least 6hrs to take properly. It only started to rain after 4hrs and then we had thunder & lightening.

No glitches or 'proper' shopping done for ages. I think I'm starting to feel like David - if I don't need it, I'm NOT hoarding it any more!

It's taken me quite a while to get here BUT as I still have boxes of assorted cereals (I rarely eat cereal as would prefer porridge) that are well OOD + enough stuff to clean house/do laundry dozens of time over. Shampoo will probably last me out.:eek: etc. etc. I've stepped well back.

It's not a bargain if you have to buy units to store it in and it takes over the house. I'm just buying what I need now (although I can't resist good whoopsies) and hoping sometime in the near future I can clear the kitchen out enough to enable us to get a badly needed new one. Essentials only from now on!

I've been REALLY good in the last 6 months. I've only had 1 APG and spent it on the last day it was possible to on essentials. I'm trying hard not to succumb to any more glitches that I don't really need.

I wonder how many more of you are realising that this can take you over if you're not careful? I'm SO trying to buy now ONLY what we need or will use up in a shortish time frame and things that are also healthy/good for you.

55p for 2 kgs in HB - the Harmony ones make lovely chips! Farmfoods £2 for 7.5kg. Lidl or Aldi also have large bags cheap as often does Morries.

I'm hoping that sometime soon (next month) my early potatoes will be ready.

I'm sure you're going to love it, once you get used to it. I'm wondering how Bexter7? is getting on with hers? It does take a short time to get used to it but once you do you won't be without it.
