Ive had a couple of H&M parcels today, which was nice as I'd forgotten all about them. Also some little pots of face shimmer. I think they were from somewhere on FB? I'm past shimmering so DD can have those :rotfl:0 -

Your day does seem to be carb heavy - if you don't mind me sayingand if your not very active then that just makes it more difficult. For every gram of carb you eat your body will naturally hold on to 4 grams of water. Ergo carboy days play havoc with the scales.
Yes, I do have an underactive thyroid but its controlled with a fairly low dose of thyroxine. I've muttered to my GP for years that it was causing my increased weight and he is adamant thats nothing to do with it.
I did have to do 3 fasts a week to get the weight to shift - but it was then a steady 2lbs per week loss. I certainly don't ind you commenting on the carb intake - but yesterday wasn't really a representaive non fast day. Usually I have either toast or yoghurt for breakfast, soup at lunchtime and lots of veggies with meat or fish in the evening. I don't think I am retaining water and I am reasonably active for a 70 year old !
For years I have thought that everyone has a base weight that their body adjusts to if they are eating reasonably sensibly - I reckon mine is between 9st12 and 10st. Thats more than I want to weigh and, f I want to stay around 9st8lb then I am going to have to continue with the fast days. The GP is happy enough - he says my cholesterol and thyroid functions are much improved.ELITE 5:2
