I asked John my wee man if he could not do it- he said it will not pass the mot without being patched up. I said matey the alternator is £400 this van must think I am some sort of charity.

I hate it when I have to put my car in the garage for anything. :(
I always worry I'm gonna get conned. :o

Send it to the breakers yard:rotfl::eek::eek:

You say that but it is a bottomless pit - takes all the carp to carboots etc. My van is a local talking point here- JEL moved house in my van. You want to see the sight of me and JEL rolling down the road to the car boots. I honestly don't know how it is going to pass the MOT but that is not today's problem. I can go from tesco to tesco amassing huge amounts of carp and nobody can see in the back;)

Well yes there's that but wee John is a local around here and can be trusted- he laughs every time he sees my van cos he knows what a money pit she is. Last time I took her in was for a timing belt - ach he said we'll do it cos you should be able to string her along for another couple a years. Surely I said she will get scrapped before then.

I was going to ask Fred the lodger if he would take me wombling at sada but I really think that would be pushing my luck. Have to tap him to go to the airport to collect DD tomorrow - she is flying back from London.
