    No. Router Line stats provide an objective rather tah a subjective measurement of the link speed and parameters.

    I have been with TalkTalk medium Fibre for 2 years without any problems. If they offer that at your location then go for it. If you don't want or need their TV service make sure to refuse it strongly and ask for the Simply Broadband option, but add phone packages to suit your usage, such as Anytime UK Calls, or 1000 mobile minutes. You will need to commit to an 18 month contract term, and probably pay an installation charge as an OpenReach engineer has to come out to connect the fibre service.

    BT Fibre has given me a consistent 56Mbps down 15Mbps up connection over Fibre broadband for 18 months or so (max speed 70Mbit). I just switched to EE, which is a bit cheaper, comes with 10Gb bonus mobile data on my EE mobile contract and gives me a consistent 65Mbps down, 20Mbps up.
    And BT ordered Openreach to switch my fibre connection off at the cabinet and leave it off! Fair play to the extremely helpful EE customer service rep in Mumbai: he got Openreach back out to the cabinet and my fibre connection was back on within four hours!
