Your list is quoting specifc models though not the car make alone. You are quoting unreliable cars too.0 -
Top 100 UK Cars
Because the data utilised by the Reliability Index is taken from in excess of 50,000 Warranty Direct current policies, it is constantly updated as new customers' vehicles are added to the database. That means the Reliability Index ratings are constantly on the move. Every year, Warranty Direct takes the most up-to-date information from the Index, and reveals the 100 most reliable cars on the road for the last 12 months.

Are these claims that warranty Direct paid out on or the ones they rejected?0
-
I cant base anything on these statistics anyway as they vary from company to company. warranty direct sell allot of warranties hence the higher ratios of claims, pitch these against another company the results will differ greatly.0
-
Looks like an old list to me. Would they cover a 11 year old Saxo never mind actually pay out.
9 year old CityRover, 12 year old Puma...
All cars have the potential to be a lemon. Its pot luck and getting any issues sorted early on
and not get fobbed off.
Wasnt there a businessman in Germany that smashed up his £60k BMW with a sledgehammer because they couldnt fix it properly?

Good point.
I would take anything said by Warranty Direct with a very large pinch of salt.0 -

Maybe the JD Power 2013 survey gives better overall results at least it is based on customer feedback.

Since 1978 i've owned 14 Fiats (most from new) and only made 3 warranty (manufacturers) claims. My current Fiat (Punto Mk2 HGT) is 14 years old, done 75k miles, still has original clutch, everything works apart from driver's window does not fully open (minor fault but never seem to get round fixing).
I also own an Alfa 159 3.2 JTS Q4. This I bought 7 months ago with 80k on the clock. Has full (and i mean full) dealer service history. Runs like a dream and (providing the levels are checked regularly which is a must with Alfas) i'm sure it will provide me with a few years of trouble free motoring.
My next car? Easy one... will be either an Alfa or Fiat.PLEASE NOTEMy advice should be used as guidance only. You should always obtain face to face professional advice before taking any action.0
