Hi All, so glad to have found this forum and all the help given. I'm struggling for wording with paragraph 2, also I've detailed life insurance policies, a few thousand pounds only which has already been paid to me, and later read these do not have to be included, we are nowhere near the amounts for IHT...I'm torn between taking them out or leaving them in
Both my sister and myself are named executors of our mum's Will. I'm the Declarant Executor, however, my sister is the first named on mum's Will. I would have overlooked she has to be named first here too, thanks @buddy9
Is this wording ok? should I add my name and address at the end?
That I am
along with (sister's name), residing at (sister's address), daughters and Executors Nominate in the Will of the late (mum's name), dated (date of Will), conform to the Will, which is produced herewith, docquetted and signed by me as relative hereto.

Suggested modification of your declaration as below. This assumes that there are no name or address differences from what is described in the will.
That I am
along with (sister's name) residing at (sister's address), the executor nominate of the said deceased conform to her will dated (date) which is produced herewith, docquetted and signed by me as relative hereto and that myself and the said (sister’s name) are daughters of the said deceased.

I am almost ready to take my C1 form to Edinburgh Sheriff Court - please can I double check what I will need to take:
Completed & signed C1
Original Will (docquetted & signed)
Minute of Declinature (docquetted & signed - solicitor was named as second executor)
Covering letter - stating all of the above, my details incl phone number and that I need 1 copy of the Confirmation Certificate (just needed for the mortgage on the house)
Everything with the same date
My ID - Passport/Drivers license enough?
I've got to travel up from Yorkshire so really don't want to get anything wrong if I can help it!
Thank you!!0 -
There is guidance on the SCTS website regarding ID.

Hello all, quick question on formatting C1 with multiple accounts of the same type. Is below acceptable, or should I list each account on a new line with appropriate balance? The multiple account balance unhelpfully is the format NS &I provide
. Thank you!

Thank you!!1. You need to take the original Death Certificate as well.2. For ID, you need two pieces of photo ID, at least one of which confirms your address: so, for example, your passport, and your drivers licence.3. Make sure your covering letter is explicit in mentioning the number of the item in the Inventory for which you are requesting the Certificate.Good luck with it. I know the above, since I submitted at the Edinburgh Sheriff Court last November.PS: take a look at my comment at https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/comment/81174800#Comment_81174800 Check the fine-print of your credit card agreement and, if yours has the same conditions as mine, see if you can pay the fee (when requested to do so via a phone call from the Court) by some way other than your credit card.

I don’t think there is any guidance about spacing for such an entry. What is important is accuracy.
Rather than ‘account’, would it be ‘holders number’ for premium bonds and ‘certificate numbers’ for savings certificates? And perhaps ‘bond numbers’ for guaranteed income bonds.

Before submitting my application can I just check:
1) Page 5, Question 21, if excepted estate, Yes, the form is now complete means I ignore Questions 22-25 lol
2) Covering letter, is there an example someone could direct me too? or help me word this. There will be one certificate required for the title deeds.
3) More importantly, and slightly off topic
I think the title deeds still include my mum's late husband, and I'm not sure if, when the mortgage lender was paid in full, this was discharged. Do these have to be changed before I submit the application?
Many thanks0
