Nothing you can do. You can reply to his negative staying calm and being factual. You could always approach trading standards.

I got sent a copy DVD when I thoguth it was real! Not only is it a copy but it has no sound! What can I do?

Your feedback/bidding history leaves me in no doubt that you were well aware that the DVD was a pirate/copy.

Given that you were happy to purchase a pirated/copied DVD, the issue then comes down to the sound, i.e. the "quality" of the goods. Now, given that the goods are pirated/copied, it is hardly suprising that the quality is in question....... You pays your money, You takes your chance. :D

The thread you refer to was not regarding a Paypal complaint. It was an ebay complaint.

If you try and file a dispute with Paypal on the basis of an item not being as described it is automatically closed with the following statement:

"This claim did not meet PayPal’s filing requirements. For specific details on the outcome of this case, please visit the Resolution Centre and see the Complaint Details."

Quoted from a complaint of mine made in December. Unless something has changed since then?, that's what happens.

You used to have to file via Ebay for items not as described.

It does rather say that its a copy by its 'Buy it Now' price alone. Good quality? Hmmm. Have you contacted the seller and asked for either a refund or working copy? As a last resort I would threaten legal action (Copyright Laws alone will make him cack his pants), but learn through this, if a price on Ebay is way too good to be true, then it ain't.

Below are two of the other items you purchased and refer to as ... "turning out to be pirate".

Now... I am no expert, however, if you had missed all the other pointers, surely........... "This item has never had a commercial release" was the giveaway? :p
