Can't you just put the last address that you were actually residing at, presumably student accommodation, until January? That was your last address...

That would be my mums... I was full time postgrad so commured from home. Will that be okay?

Was your mum claiming 25% single person discount? If so you must not put her address down. I agree with those suggesting your last student address in January (you have been "travelling" since).

Council tax charges for where? You weren't permanently resident anywhere.

Just worry that if I put an address theyll assume I was living there so should pay back charges for Ctax from now back to Jan

I don't believe she was... but I'll check - Thanks.
If she was claiming 25% discount then what address do I put? My student address was my mum's/my home address

    Thank you!

If OP was a full time post grad student then yes, her mother was entitled to the 25% single persons discount.

Is it possible to actually ring the local council? Explain to them that whilst a student you lived with your mum and that you then went travelling and were therefore of no fixed abode. Point out very sweetly that you don't want to provide anything which could be perceived as vague/or incomplete, as that would just cause them more work/phonecalls/letters etc. They've probably encountered this problem many times before, and will be able to tell you what to put. Make sure you note down when you rang and who you spoke to.

Just up until I finished uni though?
But from January she was home alone as I only pipped back occasion8 etc eg weekends. But if I put her address as my last address it could contradict her 25% discount etc?

    I'll do this, thank you!
Probably silly, but do I phone my new council (different county!) As the form is for them. Or call my old/current council for advice?

    Thanks

Thanks Pixie. But I wasn't actually living there? And if I say I was then I'll be liable for CTax charges wont I? Thanks

If you were no longer a student from January, and you lived in the UK and you were over 18 years old, then yes, you should have been paying council tax.
