Best pick for an iPhone 5s is Giffgaff?

Considering Giffgaff don't sell the iPhone 5s that's pretty shoddy journalism...

Interesting comment, the first section of the Top Picks highlights Giffgaff as the best choice for both if you have the cash to buy the phone outright direct from Apple - that's fairly clear I think...

Personally I've just signed up for the Unlimited Calls, Unlimited Texts and 1GB Data with o2 for £33 per month and an iPhone 5s with no upfront cost through e2save. (Found through the MSE Comparison tool http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/redir/1020f51e?url=http://www.e2save.com/?&model=IP5S16BL&tariff=4I4TEFEB14&gift=NA&hs=O2MIP5S16BL)

This is the same as the "Cheapest 'free' handset deal for medium users" deal but includes 4G so it better than the "Got a need for speed? Go for a cheap 4G deal" deal.

My tip would be to purchase the iPhone directly from Apple and shop around for a SIM only deal... it avoids (a) warranty squabbles between yourself, 3rd parties and Apple and (b) is truly SIM free allowing you to move networks with a minimum of fuss.

Being able to move networks easily (especially if you opt for a 30 day SIM contract) looks good to me considering the issues often raised on this forum from customers who find coverage changes due to mast "upgrades", new house/work locations without coverage, etc.

Apple also offer finance deals if you want to spread the cost.

Then it should be written as such, not as a Giffgaff "package", and there are other better PAYG or sim only deals available if you were to buy the phone sim free from Apple.

It's as simple as the writer decided to be lazy and make up an iPhone package that doesn't exist.

My thoughts, too. I imagine giffgaff are offering the best referral rate to MSE

giffgaff are now offering the iPhone directly with a range of payment options.

    https://giffgaff.com/iphone

For example an iPhone 5S is £535 if you buy it up-front, or there are various finance options. With a £50 initial payment, over 24 months it's £22.21 a month - there are several different options on how much to pay up front and how long the term is.

Please let me know if you'd like a referral link to have £5 extra credit when you first top-up! :)

I thought this was a money saving site. My car is worth less than that lol

Well it's cheaper than buying from Apple direct, so you can save some money! :)

Please read the rules, offering referral links is against them...

Oops sorry. Used to post on the Matched Betting boards where the rules I think were slightly different - hence I didn't actually post a referral link here. Removed that comment now.
