I'm also one of the fools that fell for this. I had to phone my bank, speak to the Visa disputes department who put a stop to any further transactions and refunded the 79.95 they took from me. Advanced White Smile have something like 60 days to counter claim in which case they'll get the money back again. If they do bother to do that presumably they can just show that I was gullible and didn't read the terms closely enough to get their £80. Time will tell.0

Hello
Thank you for your post. I am unable to find the email containing shipping. Can you confirm on how I go about cancelling the membership? I am going to speak to my bank and ensure that no other payments are taken.
Kind Regards

Hi everyone
I have been refunded £130 from debit card disputes via VISA CHARGEBACK which Advanced White Scum took from me.
AWS did offer me £40, i told them to stick it.
I pursed visa debit disputes and explained
1. They did not get expressed consent from me as i was not showed any T and Cs when i placed the order
2. They only attached them to a confirmation order email AFTER they took my money.
However, i did some further research and AWS actually breached Visa Guidelines and regulations regarding recurring tranactions. They failed to do any of the following:
• Provide notification to the customer at least seven working days prior to a RECURRING TRANSACTION (RT) if any of the following apply: A TRIAL PERIOD or any promotional activity has EXPIRED.
• MUST inform customers of any change to the amount of the RT;
• OBTAIN EXPRESSED CONSENT from the customer at the point of checkout or sale to periodically charge for recurring services and agree the length of time that permission is granted for
• When obtaining that consent, provide the customer with the following information the payment date and whether it is fixed or variable.
• Retain a copy of that permission in a format, such as email, other electronic record or in paper form for the duration of that RT and provide it to an Issuer upon their request (I have asked you for this see above)
• Provide the customer with confirmation that an RT agreement has been entered into within 2 days of entering that agreement.
I actually have the link to these guidelines but i can't post them on here but trust me the above is correct
However don't waste your time like i did bombarding the company telling they acted fraudulently etc. Request the debitcard disputes department from your bank that you want Visa to implement their chargeback procedures.
Don let these scammers take your money - GET IT BACK !!!!!0 -
Really glad you got your money back thats great news, i am going through the same process via my bank at the moment your post has given me some hope, these companies should not be able to get away with these scams, i will let you know how i get on i have copied down your notes above and will use them if needed, i WILL NOT give up on this

It's bad enough that these companies scam unsuspecting customers helping themselves from bank accounts. What I find more worrying is that some people would put an unknown substance bought off the internet, into their mouth. The consequences could be horrendous. Best lose some money than all of your teeth.

Hi Lizzei
Hope you get your money back!! You should do my bank refunded me straight away, visa charge back means they actually take it back from the company,s bank which made me feel good. Also, when I first complained to the company they offered me 40 refund which as I said in previous post I told them to stick it ! However, they still refunded me it, so along with getting a full refund and the products, I also got 40 pounds from them which I am treating as compensation. I have put a stop on them taking anymore money out of my account and if they want it back they can do the same as I did and go thorough chargeback services. Good luck with getting your refund!0 -
I too, unfortunately, fell prey to this 'scam' in a weak moment in the run up to Christmas, and managed to get the £40 refund, but I paid with a credit card, so does the Visa chargeback apply to that too? Would love to pursue the company and get back the money they took from me underhandedly.
Any advice would be gratefully received, apart from the obvious one of 'read the terms and conditions'!0
