Thanks for listening to me ladies, it's nice to know that other people have had this and it has been resolved!!

It's my own fault my mum warned me that the coil wld cause me problems and it seems it has!! Fingers crossed the scan shows nothing and then I can try changing my pill or come off it completely and see what that does.

I just don't think men are aware of what it's like to bleed so can't get there heads round how distressing it can be.

Huge gentle hugs from me too Butterfly - also got that tshirt - after DD I went on the mini pill as still feeding her (had taken normal pill for years - since 16 - with no probs) and was told that as it settled down I'd get no/light bleeds only - great I thinks, sadly 9 months on I was still bleeding 3 weeks out of every 4, felt like some of DD's choice nappies and poor DH was starting to get a haunted look from being yelled at so often without even any bedroom activities to 'make up'. Finally got fed up went back to doc again as stopped feeding and went back onto the one I'd had for years - overnight new me!

Keep on at the doc and really hope you get sorted soon - X

It is strange, what works for one doesn't for another.

I bled 3 1/2 weeks out of 4 for about 8 months after DD. Like you I was sent for a couple of scans which didn't show anything. I then had an implant and although it ended up less overall I was very irregular, Gould go without for a couple of months, then have a few weeks bleeding.

Since having the coil, after a few months of "settling in" I may have one day a month/two months where I have a little bit of spotting.

Just work with your doctor/nurse/fpc to find what works best for you and your body.

I bled heavily after DS. Which was caused by a tiny bit of placenta being left behind, I had a DAnd C to remove it. It was only a month after the birth though.

I was fitted with a mirena coil after which caused me to bleed, so I now have a normal one, which is absolutely fine. I have been on LoGynon at one point, which caused intermittent bleeding.

It's horrid, I do hope they sort it soon,
I wanna be in the room where it happens

Thanks again, woke up to even heavier bleeding this morning so I've left a message for my dr asking if they will change my pill straight away cos at the minute there seems to be little point being on it at the minute.

Got to stop crying in a minute as I have to go out and already look like a snotty mess!!!

Not medical advice but can't you just stop taking the pill yourself without waiting to see the doctor? I don't think it is like antibiotics or antidepressants where you need the doctor's ok to stop taking it. Well, when I stopped my pill to start TTC I didn't speak to a doctor. Just thinking, if there is a chance it is the pill causing the bleeding, it would be nice to know?

If it has tyres or testicles, it's gonna give ya problems..

Though obviously - if you are going to engage in marital relations (if the bleeding ever lets you!) you'd need condoms while not on the pill...

My dr didn't want me to come off the pill as there's a chance that the bleeding will be worse without it.

When I did manage to speak to the dr, she has put me on progestrone tablets on top of the pill, I'm not using the pill as contraception as I was on it last year when I feel pregnant, I'm only back on it to try and control the bleeding.

Had a surprise phone call earlier and can go for my scan this evening so I'm now manically trying to organise childcare.
