Hi,
Firstly let me make clear that I don't want medical advice being told that this has happened to other people and been rectified would be good tho!!
I had my 3rd and last child at the begining of December, I bleed for a number of weeks and stopped, when my period returned a number of weeks later I had the coil fitted, for the first few weeks I had spotting then started bleeding heavily the drs put me on the pill as well to stop the bleeding and it took it back down to spotting, I got fed up being on the pill and the coil and was in pain from the coil, so had it removed and just stayed on the pill, since I had the coil removed I am still bleeding, it's depressing me I never had this on the pill prior to this and now it's constant!! I can't take the kids swimming, don't feel comfortable being intimate.
I've been back to the drs and have been refered for an urgent scan, the drs didn't really have any suggestions on what else I cld try to stop the bleeding.
Dr google tells me what nasties there looking at with the scan, but no clues on to what will happen if it's clear. I guess I just feel lost at the minute. Not like the proper me.

Hugs to you, I share your pain of constant bleeding. Spent most of this year bleeding. I hope the scan comes through soon and sheds some light.0

What pill is it? I bled constantly on the mini pill, hated it . Hope the scan is ok and they can sort you out0

Thanks for all the hugs, my oh tells me to stop worrying about it, I'm not worrying about the cause as such it's just the fact that so much of my life is suffering at a minute, things I just took for granted!!
The scan will be done in the next 10 days just waiting for the appointment to come through, I'm convinced it's going to be caused by hormones. So not sure what the dr will suggest then0 -
I'm on microgynon not sure what type of pill it is? I've taken it for years and never had an problems till now well apart from my daughter!! Lol0

I used to be on the same pill as you until my second and last came along. I then bled heavily for months until my family planning lady move me to a progesterone only pill cerazette (nowa different brand due to costs to Nhs but same drug). Since then I have just had a few bleeds, 6 years on!
Sometimes pregnancy can alter your hormones and you need to rebalance
Good luck with the scan0 -
I know of someone else who's being investigated for 9 months of bleeding post birth. Hopefully you'll both have everything serious ruled out, and something simple like a change in contraception will resolve things. I know what you mean about being fed up with it, the bleeding interfering in your life in not just the obvious ways, and just wanting to get back to normal. I hope it's resolved soon.Don't listen to me, I'm no expert!0

I bled constantly on cerazette. Went to a fpc instead of my GP and they swapped me to microgynon. It stopped immediately, other than a regular monthly bleed, which is perfectly normal.
Not advice, but hopefully it's reassurance that it isn't always something horrid or needs big things done to fix it.
And yes, I felt grotty bleeding all the time, too.I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll0
