Number of interviews before you were offered a job?

I've had well over 100 interviews and did get offered a temp job the one time.
I actually really enjoy interviews, never get nervous and feel very confident for them.Martin has asked me to tell you I'm about to cut the cheese, pull my finger.0 -

Perhaps that's the problem?
Some nerves are a good thing at an interview, I'd have thought.
Not too many though, of course.0 -
When I was last unemployed I failed eight or nine interviews in a row before I gave up and started my own business.0

Yes but it's hard to be nervous for an interview, something I've done many times before and comes as second nature. I'm used to speaking in public and showing how hard working I am.
I'd be nervous if it was life threatening heart surgery though!Martin has asked me to tell you I'm about to cut the cheese, pull my finger.0 -
I have the opposite problem. I get too nervous. Means I fidget and stumble over my words.
I've had about eight interviews without success since the beginning of January. According to the feedback I received, I was almost successful in one of them but they finally chose another candidate that lived nearer to the employer.0 -

Try and relax, believe me it does get easier. Once you done quite a few interviews it's like a walk in the park.
Good luck with your future interviews:)Martin has asked me to tell you I'm about to cut the cheese, pull my finger.0 -
I applied for five jobs, got four interviews and two jobs in over a period of six weeks.
Got the first one (the one I least wanted - but didn't want to pass on it, just in case) and resigned after three weeks after getting the job I thought I had no chance of.0 -
I was made redundant on 30th April.
Had interview on 28th April, 2nd interview yesterday and offered/accepted the job today and start later this month.
Think given the circumstances I've probably accepted the role out of worry that I won't find it easy to find another. This one is on much less money that I was on before but has opportunities to progress.
Had an interview for another company today which was a bit strange and I was asked to email if I wanted the job.
Applied for a few other positions over the last couple of weeks which haven't reached closing date yet but don't think I'll go on any more interviews (absolutely hate them!!).0 -
various interviews over the years... but Goldman Sachs takes the biscuit. There were 12 rounds and I got to round 10... and they said no....0

First job - one application, one interview and got it. Though I was absolutely over-qualified and probably would have never got it hadn't it been public sector where they had to give it to the "best" person.
After that three applications and three interviews until I landed my current job.
Looking again now and had one unsuccessful interview last year (well, two really but for the same position) and another one scheduled for tomorrow. I do work in an industry though where there is demand for staff so in a better position than many others...0
