Aw I hate those type of emails Dreams. Hope you get the real thing soon! We were talking about Blackpool today and thinking of going when lights are on. I just checked my emails and saw Blackpool and 'exciting news for you' ....it was just to say they were holding a world record thing tomorrow! Got me all excited for a minute!

Yep, we could have done with those wellies today! It was glorious one min and we were all sat eating a picnic on the grass. We no sooner got up and it started raining heavy. By then DH was at the top of the tallest ride at the time and got drenched!
Went into Whitby on way home and didn't get back till late.

He actually had another set of clothes in car and went back to car to change! I dried out in no time and just went on rides with the kids! I'm not one for big rides anymore so I stuck to the little rides with DD2, niece & nephew

we always used to take extra clothing as well when
we used to go to the theme parks etc wingo,
better safe than sorry!
I remember DH once being drenched while on a
log flume :eek: he was grumpy for ages after :eek:
cheered up though when we treated him to a pint
on the way home

Looking bright here this morning.

Glad you enjoyed FL wingo. Don't think I will really miss going to theme parks now. I used to enjoy the medium sort of rides especially ones which went round but DD always wanted me to go on with her as DS3 liked the extreme ones and I usually ended up feeling my back sore. DH was never very keen on them.

DS3 only 2 days to work at his old job now thank goodness, he has really had enough of the hours and been getting some snide comments from his boss. He is seemingly great at making souffles and boss says to him " A'h the souffl! king, it will be toasties you are making next week " Another boy had been going to give them 2 weeks notice but is so sick of the comments is going after one week too. Joke is that there are 4 agency chefs from our town and all of them used to work there so won't be wanting to go.

Think it is time we had a few more wins in the Inn!
