I thought the sky times comp was today? I've just entered it!

I dread it sheils when son starts doing that and staying out all night or sneaking girls back home! I can't imagine DD1 even going out but you never know!

I was in bed early with a migraine last night but I was cold too! The weather has certainly changed!
Going into town with DD1 today to finish off uniforms. Not long off now, I want the summer to start again!

Good Luck getting uniforms bought wingo. DD back on Wednesday - will be pleased as she is staying out too late. Both her brothers woke her last night so she is not happy. DS2 woke her for a chat and he managed to lock DS3 out so he woke her to let him in. Then they woke her laughing and joking before DS3 went to work! She has been moaning away since she woke again but DS2 just laughs at her. DD coming with us to stay at Metro Centre on Monday anyway.
Will be glad when things back to normal really.


DS2 making us a fancy dish with sea bass tonight - really looking forward to it!

some more drying & jarring herbs on/off all day &
then had a couple of friends pop in this afternoon so

Sheils, your posh sea bass sounds great! I have never tried it before. I like cod, haddock, tuna, salmon, sardines, mackerel but never tried sea bass!

Hope you had a good day Wingo, and no, my kids don't wake up early. I get them up about 7.30am on school days but during the hols they don't seem to wake up until 9am! I don't mind as by then I have usually done all my dailies, put my washing in, made breakfast etc!

I am dreading when my kids are at the age of wanting to go out. My mum says me and my sister were the worst though because we became interested in boys a lot earlier than my two brothers became interested in girls - they were more into their footie and other sports!

Well it has stayed dry here today but the wind has got stronger and stronger and it is quite blustery now. My parents travelled home from Arran today - a day early - because the forecast was for strong gales tomorrow and they worried the ferry would not sail. It often doesn't sail when there are gales so people cannot get off or on the Island!

Going to have a nice glass of wine this evening and watch Casualty!

Sounds like you had a busy day FF. We enjoyed our sea bass although DS was annoyed he couldn't get some of the ingredients he wanted. We had it on a bed of coriander potatoes with asparagus and creamy sauce and had several other flavours with it like lime. Really nice anyway.

Just booked a Premier Inn £29 night in Carlisle for 1st Nov so we can hopefully go to the firework display there. Every year we say we will go and then don't, so we will have to go this year. Carlisle has one of the best displays in UK. Was wonderful last time we went.


Going to watch "Casualty" too Bella.

Got nearly all uniform except DD1's kickers! Kids aren't cheap these days!
