I'm so jealous Sheils.....you have a floor hatch? Cool!
Is it like a cellar then?
Well kitchen is half donehad a nightmare with floor being leaking, uneven and we still need to sort it out before tiles etc. I've got so much work needing doing in the house I've decided I can't afford to pack in my other casual job just yet!
if I get a few more shifts out of it, would help.
Hatch is in DD's room wingo as that is where boiler used to be. There is another in kitchen but would mean lifting vinyl and probably damaging it.Could have a few rooms under the house if we wanted or could afford it! Men like working under our floors as they need ladders rather than having to crawl about. Gas engineer who is about 6ft 6" used to be especially pleased.
Great your kitchen is coming on. Nightmare getting work done especially kitchens, bathrooms and boilers!Mar Wins :- £2 GfK Media

Wow your house sounds amazing!
We have a sort of air raid shelter under grass in our garden. Every few gardens so far have them. I'm always worried it caves in though!
At least I've got somewhere to put hubby if I ever felt the need! :rotfl: (joking, he's not insured!
)
Big thanks to all who contribute to the forums. Be lucky everyone and be safe!0 -
fish n chips sounds great sheils,
that's what we did when he had all ours done,
mostly ate out & from chip shop
sounds great for DD to have a new shelved cupboard,
great it all should be finished tomorrow for you :j
thanks wingo :A just about caught up ones needed
glad the kitchens half done for you & hope you can get the rest sorted x
lol @ putting hubby in the old air raid shelter :rotfl:
we had a double roomed cellar in the old house that we had pointed up/decorated etc
& used it for storing lots of stuff in, like yours sheils it was high enough for the men to walk about in,
only ours had a door & stairs down to it,
years ago when DH used to be down there doing stuff I used to lock the door on him :rotfl::rotfl:& used to make him say daft things before i'd unlock the door to let him back up :rotfl::rotfl:please be a responsible pet owner & spay/neuter your pets, too many strays & not enough homes for them sadly.0 -

) I want fish n chips tomorrow if oven not in! They brought wrong work tops and the others aren't in till next wed.

good morning peeps nose still running but also have bunged up feeling what is that all about hate colds0

Good Morning,
Hope your nose stops running soon rose and that you are felling better today Bella.
Shame your worktops are going to be delayed wingo. Nothing ever seems to get done without a hitch and delay. Will be so glad to get rid of all our workmen. All the workers are local tradesmen I have known most of my life which I like - sure it costs us more though as they want to chat especially the electrician as we don't see him often.
Don't think I would lock DH in cellar FF. Would be to scared he did same to me and I saw a spider. lol
Just been downloading "Sweet Sixteen" to play for DD - not sure she will appreciate it!
Hope everyone is lucky today.

Hello all! Just wanted to tell you I am still alive but this gastro bug is making me feel really awful because it is making me sick so my meds to treat my Crohn's are staying down! I slept a little better last night though so another day of taking it easy! My DD feels better this morning but I won't send her back to school until Monday. Luckily my other three are fit and well!
Wet here this morning so me and my DD are going to have a couch day today! Wishing you all wellness and luck today! Enjoy your Friday!:TA big thanks to all who post and sprinkling lucky dust to all who enter :smileyhea0 -
