Will Mr LW realise that the cake box containing a few crumbs from the cherry'n'coconut cake has been transformed into a cake box containing a freshly-baked lemming cake?

If he realises, do you suppose he'll just assume the house-wights magically put it there?:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

*sigh* I hope to goodness this rain lets up, or I'm going to have one soggy Spaniel tomorrow. Also, it may scupper my plans for a dirty weekend.

Mmmm, is there enough for us all to come round, LW?

Last night I managed to machine and hang the DR curtains (but the hems still need turning up and hand-sewing  )
This morning I cleaned the house from top to bottom, including wiping all doors and skirtings and even the outside windowsills :D
Why hadn't I thpught of using a *damp* microfibre duster before? It's brill!

Our dear friend drove 120 miles to have lunch with us  and has just left. The slow-cooked stew (started at midnight) was delicious, and we;ve eaten a bit more of the chocolate orange cake for dessert :p

DH has realised that his wedding ring has dropped off his finger - it has got progressively looser as he has lost weight. Will have a good hunt for it after I've drunk a cuppa.

    Hi Charlie's Aunt!

For the first time in several weeks I have some energy today. I'm not sure if it's wasted sitting at my desk and clearing a tottering mountain of paperwork, but the house will have to wait while I doing Many, Many HHP.

Piggers, please can be we see the leafy blanket before it is given to Moomin's lovely teacher?
    Better is good enough.

Vanilla - I used to get tonhellitis a lot, several times a year. Unless you have had it you do not understand what it is like and it doesn't get the sympathy it deserves.

    Paid stuff done.

Ebay parcel is too big for courier ebay buyer has selected so I now need to undo it all and see if I can reduce the size - should have stuck to my original collection only prerequisite.

I need to make a cake, wipe out the fridge, write a shopping list and hoover next though.

    But of course!:o
But only if you bring a trowel and each of you transfer three trowels full of dirt from somewhere in the garden to the increasingly-large gap under the fence that the [STRIKE]rats-with-bushy-tails[/STRIKE] squirrels use as a pathway.;)
I need to get it sorted before Ellie and Coco come to stay, as Coco is a Chihuahua/Yorkie cross, and will be small enough to escape through there.

That is the "dirty weekend" I referred to - not that you ladies would have had your minds anywhere near the gutter, of course.:rotfl:

Oh my, where are my manners? Welcome Charlie's Aunt.

    Ionafan
I hope the ring turns up ok.
My own methods of finding missing items include:
    Dowsing
    Scrying
Pretending to be searching for something else
Screaming at the Dragons to GIVE IT BACK! RIGHT NOW!!

I have to go out this evening, and I really don't want to. The ex-local secretary of Northants branch of Mensa emailed and asked us to meet up with him and a couple of the other stalwarts of his meetings (we used to bolster the numbers at his monthly meetings, even though it's not technically our area) for a "Non-Mensa" meeting, offering us a choice of dates and indeed pubs, and we couldn't find a good reason to say No. However, I've briefed Mr LW to hold up our end of the conversation so that I don't have to.;)

So now I'm going to do my Brain Training, then I think I might have a quiet half hour with either Sudoku or Dragon Age.;)

    See you tomorrow.

We've just made white choc chunk cookies - a b3tty cr0cker mix - only 4 cookies from the mix (large ones) but they do smell amazing. I only got it because it was reduced, regular price was £1.50  but thought since it was a just add water job it would be easy enough to do after school and pop in the oven while dinner is cooking.

They do smell amazing though. Hope they taste as good. Maybe it's just as well there are only 4...

Kids were hungry so I've done an early tea and they will have to have some cereal before bed.

Have soaked DS school shirt in bleach now (last resort) but the yellow splodges are not shifting :( he's needed a clean one every day this week.

Roll on the end of term, eh Valli
