Which is odd because they're not subsidised in any way IIRC.

CarPhoneWarehouse only have one stock of iPhones, so they have this strange policy of locking to the first sim, whether it's bought contract, PAYG or sim free.

If you are trying to get the credit back I think you'll be out of luck but you might be able to transfer it to other things.
