I've seen this brought up several times in the technical board with the latest thread being - https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4962852
I find the feature annoying on low res screens such as laptops and installed the script described in https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4386275
IMO features such as this should be optional with a control panel option to disable them.
