MSE Forum Message Display - Mouse Over

Apologies if this question should be in another section. If so, could a board guide perhaps move it for me?
As you know, when looking at a list of threads in a sub board, placing the mouse cursor over a thread pops up the text contents of the first message. Maybe I am the only person on here who doesn't want that as I find it inconvenient when using my netbook. Also this uses extra bandwidth when on a slow WiFi or MiFi connection.
I have looked in my user CP but can't see if it is possible to turn off that facility. Anyone know if it is possible?

I don't think it can be turned off. Personally I like the facility but I get annoyed that it only displays for a few seconds then disappears. I'd prefer it displayed the whole time your curser was hovering.... There's and answer here: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4386275. I remember testing it way back and it did work then. It only applies to Chrome.0

It's part of the style sheet so no simple way of controlling it at a personal level apart from hacks to your browser such as fenlander_uk mentionsThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

I installed that script as I posted in the thread at the time. There has been a change to the forum since then but the script still works. IMO the display should be an option.
I've posted a suggestion in the Forum feedback section that this feature should be made optional - https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/comment/65432677#Comment_654326770 -
While I also find it a bit of an annoying feature I doubt very much if a few bytes of text will have any significant additional impact on your bandwidth, it's all the MSE images that seem to cause problems when I'm on a slow connection.0

@fenlander_uk
Thank you. I am using Chrom(ium) and the code and extension works perfectly. I am now pop up free!

I agree that text uses a comparatively small amount of bandwidth compared to graphics. The fact is that the forum loads the text for the first article in each thread on each page visited and I find that a waste when I am in certain environments. Not only that but on a netbook that popping up all the time was a bl@@dy nuisance.
Sorted now thanks to the excellent help. Cheers.0 -

There is an easy answer to that - for Chrome, at least. Install the Stylebot plugin. I've uploaded a Style that removes all the unwanted screen furniture. Click the css icon, then 'Install style from social': there's only one available at present.0 -
