Has anyone who have recently opened their 123 2 yr FRISA used the online option to upgrade their matured Major ISA?

If so, does this create a second 123 2yr FRISA or does it automatically transfer in into your recently opened FRISA?

There is no transfer. Your existing account remains with the same number, just the changed conditions.

When the Major ISA was closed 1 days interest at .5% was added and then transferred to the 123 ISA.

That's what they were supposed to do. They couldn't have done it the day before as you'd have had early withdrawal penalties.

But it should have been transferred on the 2nd and was transferred on the 3rd thus losing one days higher interest.

So I'll have two 123 2 yr FRISAs at 2.3%?

They have 15 working days to do it before you can raise a legitimate complaint so you should count yourself lucky!

    Does it really matter, honestly?

    It does to Santander. ;)

I was told that I would not lose out on the interest. But they have used the 0.50% for one day.
This Major ISA in question had only 1 years contribution.

If they do the same at maturity with the 2 year Major ISA I opened last year, which has many years worth of contributions, then I will make a complaint.

I am guessing no-one has transferred in their matured Major ISA into their existing 2014-15 123 2 yr FRISA using the online upgrade option?

No, just the one account but instead of 4.1% expiring in May 2014 it is now 2.3% expiring on 1 /6/16 and you can top it up by £5940
