Cor Blimey ! ! ! . . . Just shows you what ~ One icon and a few dots . . . . can do :rotfl: Who would have thought it.

Can I just say ~ I don't have any - furry, human or otherwise. So know only too well, all the comments, looks and suggestions that are given.

Next time maybe try a less controversial topic - politics or religion? :rotfl:

Sold a DVD on AM@zon - £7.40 transferred to savings pot, sig updated. Have listed a 5th gen K1ndle and a gift card for a shop that I don't frequent, that will hopefully take me another £30-40 closer to the 2018 goal.
  • How do you get on with Am@zon selling Ed? I was thinking about listing some books...

Eh, Eh, Emm, I seem to remember it all started with a comment someone made about listing "cloth nappies" Don't see any mention of them below :rotfl: :p

They're fine MCI, exorbitant fees, but that seems to be par for the course these days. One annoying thing is that large resellers (companies selling on thousands of items) tend to have automated software to undercut your prices.

For that reason, I'll often cut, say 10% off the cheapest alternative seller for a quick sale. Otherwise it can turn into a penny scraping war of attrition vs. bots.

Some things sell much better on either eB@y or Am@azon, well worth doing some quick research first to see which site to use. That said, likely to be Am@azon for books, eB@y better for electronics, furniture etc.

That is a job for tomorrow, this evening I put away laundry, gutted the kitchen and did some paperwork. Also registered our new espresso maker for an extra year's warranty for free.

Feeling like a half shut knife - DD up every 2 hours last night - think it may be continued teething?

Mrs E looking at a couple of nurseries next week so that we aren't completely reliant on MIL for childcare help, fingers crossed.

It looks like our industrial action has ended, hopefully 7 years of job security, not that I love my job all that much ;)

Our new budgetary restraint has bit us in the bum for the first time with less than a week to go until pay day. The car was running on fumes last night, so I filled up the tank and had to take £27 off our general 'travel' budget as a result. We should hopefully be ok for petrol until the end of February as it's a short month, but the miles tick up a lot faster these days. Can't believe that petrol prices have gone up from their lows by 16-17% since a year ago!

Travel pot not looking too bad, but I need a new bus pass at the weekend and that's nearly £100 a pop.

Petrol prices are high at the moment. Last year I ran my Series I XJ6 as a daily driver, it does about 15mpg. This year so far, that car has become a bit of a special occasion car because I really can't find the money to run it on a daily basis. :o Son is far to used to the finer things in life than a creaky old MGB, though ... However, I believe this is what is known as a "first-world problem". I keep telling him it's character building, of course. ;)
    2018 totals:
    Savings £11,200
    Mortgage Overpayments £5,500
