For me, gluten. I don't know how one makes black beans that have been cross-contaminated, but murphy's law says we'll buy the ones that have.0 -

It's annoying isn't it! (also means shopping takes 50% longer as you have to read every flipping label )Must use my stash up!0 -

I'm confused - did you mean to say Mrs K 'was bothered' about eating duck?
Duck fat fits between olive oil and butter in the 'how naughty is this?' stakes.
Black beans = W@itrose are actually one of the cheapest places. If no W@itrose, Morris0ns often stock them.
Reheat scrambled eggs - these are meant to be frozen. It's safe enough to freeze scrambled eggs and omelettes as long as you reheat them thoroughly.
Does that mean tracking the major nutritional groups - fat/protein/carbohydrates etc.?
My comment last night hardly makes sense to me, sorry.
I think I meant my wife decided she didn't want duck for dinner purely so I could use the duck fat for making burritos. Probably had nothing to do with her being concerned about cholesterol but I can't really remember. Did have a bit too much to drink last night.
Did manage to get the beans from Sainsburys today.
Do you freeze the burritos? I'm only making two for tomorrow so I presume it'll be OK to keep them in the fridge?2018 totals:
Savings £11,200
Mortgage Overpayments £5,5000 -
I always freeze them, would worry they'd go soggy in the fridge. Don't take this the wrong way Alex, but by not freezing them and using the oven, you're moving away from the concept of a handy batch cooked breakfast to something far more laborious and time consuming! Sometimes labour saving devices are ok (as I discovered when I gave up on my manual coffee grinder).
My sister doesn't use a microwave either, so you're not alone in that respect0 -
Not a comment about any of the bloggers frequenting this forum, but UK personal finance/FI bloggers are a rum lot, aren't they? So much self-justification, humble bragging, poor performance (for FI types) and pseudo-American swearyness.
One that I was looking over today was basically 'I'm retiring in 6-7 years time, but I'm only planning on saving 40%. I won't be giving up my golf membership, rock climbing and I love my new iWatsit. Oh yeah, but I'm pure frugal and !!!!.'
Cursing added intentionally.
Edit: and terrible lifestyle promotion - 'here are 20 photos of a tranquil lake so that you know that I'm living the 'right' sort of lifestyle and won't just sit in my living room playing computer games and eating quavers once I retire at 42.'
Edit the second: rant over.0 -

I thought the start of the first sentence of that post was pretty clear SF?0 -

There aren't that many UK PF bloggers, but it's a general comment. We seem to have none of the success/'extreme', but all the braggadocio of our US counterparts!0

That is true to some extent. I'll admit, I'm far from where I'd like us to be at the moment!
ah well, we all continue to plod along
