Made £9 guessing Germany and Poland would draw last night - huzzah.

Daddy daughter day today, so we've been swimming already, she's napping and I've tidied up and washed our towels. I love the 30 minute wash on our washing machine, so helpful! :cool2:

OPed £1.02 and watched the stock market confound my expectations for sudden sharp drops :D

Rather annoyingly, the running shoes that I bought 1/2 a size smaller on sale don't fit and will need to be returned!

Was on Am@zon looking for a lawn mower today and several appeared under 'Father's Day gift ideas'. As a father, can I just point out that it is no more acceptable to buy a man tools or a tool box for Father's Day than it would be to buy a woman an iron for Mother's Day! Really! All I want is a day off to drink beer and feel sentimental :rotfl:

Had a few free bets with my £5 freebie for an England win @ WH, one came in, one didn't. Withdrew my winnings after Slovakia threw away their 2-0 lead

Quote for a shutter in our living room? £2,200+

Not sure whether to play off firms against each other, or to go the DIY route (c. £800 cheaper, but we'd fit). My main concern re. DIY is measuring, but considering the cursory examination that the woman who came out today gave the window, how wrong can I get it?

Relaxing with a few beers - roast chicken, potatoes and asparagus for dinner. Very much looking forward to the rugby tomorrow - I will be haggised oot mah nut :rotfl:

With our windows the three companies gave a quick look and quoted and only when we decided which company we were going with did they send someone to do the in depth measure!
    Must use my stash up!

We steam it gently, can be boiled or roasted as well.
  • We wrap it in chicken with goats cheese, then wrap the whole thing in prosciutto then bake.....

    That sounds delicious! :j

DD treated me to several Father's Day presents. I appreciated the lovely beer far more than the 0500 alarm call.

Serious question, but when are children likely to lie in, say 'til 0730?
