Don't forget to spend some time with J too
Sounds like a busy day.
We had a lovely morning then spent the afternoon sorting out the front "garden" (driveway and borders!!!) before it really looked like rain. Block paving seems like such a great idea until you have to de-moss or de-weed between the cracks!
It looks lots better, shame the back will take more than a couple of hours.0 -

That's right, just pull them down to window sill length. I bought the very same for my 3 bedrooms and they are great.
To jazz them up a bit, nipped to B&M and bought sticky backed mirror sayings eg "Live your dreams" but I'm sure you can get sticky kiddies bunting ones which are cute, just to make a border at the bottom of themand when the bottom of the blinds get little finger prints all over them
just cut off the bottom and make use of the extra length you had unrolled at the top - if that makes sense.

No cords in Ike@'s blinds, they have a small clip in the middle that you pull down, and they even sell a pole if the blind is too high.Always have 00.00 at the end of your mortgage and one day it will all be 0's :dance:MF[STRIKE] March 2030[/STRIKE] Yes that does say 2030  Mortgage Free 21.12.18 _party_Now a Part Timer from 27.10.190 -

Um.... moderately flooded the living room removing a radiator
Fixed now and I know how to do it properly next time, but avoiding plumbing. Still trying to find a joiner, Mrs E and I are not getting the time that we need as a couple and it's getting us both down.0 -

Hmm..I'm sensing a recurring theme from a few pages back.
Ed, so long as the place is in a reasonable enough state that J won't kill herself as she makes her way along take your daily To Do list and half it. Yes, half it. Then do that half and tell yourself that you WILL NOT feel guilty about all the other stuff that needs doing as 1) nobody can do it all in a day; 2) nobody will remember it anyway in years to come but they definitely will all remember the time you spent with them.
Why do we do it to ourselves? We all feel as though we all have to be busy ALL the time else we are not being productive. Truth is, with a break we are actually more productive and have a better overall life as we feel happier with our lots in life. (And I'm as guilty as you! More than full time work + studying + trying to renovate a house = pooped PB. Even I'm starting to realised I can keep chewing, but I'm not going to be able to swallow it all in one.)
Book a date with Mrs E. As soon as you have finished reading this. Enjoy it when you go.
No point having a beautiful house you have to sell cos you and your equally beautiful wife have split up, is there?!Debt: £11,640.02 paid in full! DFD: 30/06/20
