  • Aw bless the first first birthday party! I remember when DS had his first party, most friends turned up with toys & books etc, but one turned up with a miniature bottle of champagne & told us we'd earned it
    :D:

I can't advise on DIY as I'm rubbish [STRIKE]I undermine all stereotypes about lesbians[/STRIKE] :D. I always remember Richard Briers in The Good Life when his generator broke down saying "that's the problem with Do It Yourself, it sometimes does it back" :rotfl:

Think I might be suffering from early onset [STRIKE]middle class[/STRIKE] middle age. Refilled the wee caddy of dishwasher tablets that sits next to the machine, got momentarily concerned that we were running out, checked the cupboard to realise that we still have 188 tablets :o:D :rotfl:

I feel like Catherine Tate's 'posh mum'

Edit: just sold the 2 man tent I rashly bought during Black Friday 2014. Now I just need to figure out how to post the thing - it's rather large! Hey ho, that's £16-17 back to my coffers.

Ever since I started buying loo roll from Costco (40 at a time) I have similar, equally ridiculous panics :D

    • Collected dry cleaning
    • Decluttered a bin bag of grotty hangers kindly donated by the people we bought the house from
    • Solar panels have passed 400 kW, 'celebrating' by charging the laptop, my phone and iPod and our LED camping lantern

Very nice on the solar. We've just passed 600kW so you must generate more overall as you installed a few months after us I believe.

My DW is pretty handy, but I consider household improvement work to be the only time I elect to get a bloke round :D

Happy premature birthday, Juliette! *Inserts milk bottle emoji*

I bulk-buy many things as it works out cheaper and you should just *see* my new under-stairs cupboard! :rotfl:  :p
