I'm getting nae bucks at the moment! :D

Currently on holiday with family staying at a pretty seaside town in the NE of England, mostly eating fish and chips and playing with DD, whose teething has improved a lot.

Ps. Can the MSEr who I referred for R@tesetter please get in touch re. referral split? I have 2 on the go and I need to know where to send the money!

Thank you A Frayed Knot, your expert deduction was correct :)

Back home now after *a lot* of driving and getting on with some practical things to improve our home and reduce our clutter. Today I broke down a large double wardrobe and while I know that I will be aching by this evening, I'm glad that I have the strength to manhandle 7' high planks of wood and large mirrors etc. I suspect that's the testosterone talking! Rather annoyingly I discovered a large void in the wall behind the wardrobe (it's odd, sort of hexagonal 'cells' in the plaster?) It goes all the way back to the board that I assume covers the brick, so will require some pretty serious repair...

I have decided to do as much of the DIY for the house as I can. Basically I can't be arsed being subject to the whims of contractors and as we have a 30 year mortgage, I guess I'll have a lot of time to get good?

First job (next weekend) will be repairing the floorboards by replacing the existing nails with screws and fixing any holes/overly warped boards. Terrified - not used to DIY.

Right, off to catch up with some laundry and day-to-day things.

Have a lovely weekend all

Could you clean it up to provide a place to store the suitcases or something? I'm bad at visualising stuff from a verbal description, so I'm probably very far from the mark.
