    Hello Ed

Sorry to hear your back is bad - cuteness aside, there's always a range of osteos, physios and chiros (and even doctors) so hope you find someone to help first kill the pain and then sort it out.

In happier things, I've read through your diary from start to finish and am just blown away (and put to shame) how savvy you are … I wish I had been at your age (a looong time ago!) - or indeed wish I was now. I join all those who think you'd make a fab IFA (saw you are only in work 4 days now, is there a plan?) but meantime look forward to hanging on your pearls of wisdom on this great forum.

    Hope back settles soon

    Thanks Hollyboll :)

In the first instance the plan is childcare, but in a few years I will hopefully put the day to more career related purposes.

Not much financial news today, made £13 with a now rare matched bet, a few £ has been added to my Funding C1rcle account as interest and we've withdrawn our T5B interest (something like £15).
  • Thanks Ed … hope the back is improving?

Feel like this lowers the tone from the more sophisticated questions you get on here about investing / MB'ing (to which at the moment I'm only aspiring …) but a while ago you mentioned you manage to keep your Now TV subs down very low … about a fiver from memory? How do you do this - is it swapping between you and Mrs Ed or is there a current offer which I've missed?

    Not the best weekend :o

Blazing row with Mrs E on Saturday re. spending too much time faffing on cooking projects, DD feeling a bit out of sorts today and Sunday blues have kicked in! :(

On the plus side, we are reconciled, said faffy food project looks awesome and I have promised a moratorium on projects. Stronger painkillers are kicking pain's posterior and I *hope* that my muscles are feeling looser today (not as strong a feeling as 'think'). It's a three day week to boot, we'll be having a family day on Wed for Mrs E's Birthday.

Feeling a little stressed re. house move, broker staff this time are not a patch on previous occasions. We feel like we've been passed from pillar to post and I can see me being critical on any request for an appraisal.

Today's spends weren't too mad - £3.99 on a big piece of fruit cake (Christmas style) and a Christmas ornament at £2.09. I'm listing that under 'home maintenance' :D

Never mind the row, we want to see the food. :D If it's worth arguing over, it must be good.

Hope everything works out OK with the house move.

As for the Christmas stuff, not you as well?

Haha, I'll take a pic once it's set.

We love Christmas and this will be a very special one, our first Christmas as a family. At the same time, we don't go overly crazy. We like to decorate the house nicely and probably eat and drink a bit more than we should, but we are sensible with presents and try to keep the spirit of the season in mind. DD will be getting a couple of outfits and a contribution to her ISA this year :)
