I agree! As I was wittering on about, a blog is a slow starter, but it can go places (maybe not MMM's $2000 a month, but something!).
I reckon MMM brings in more like $6,000 a month, if not more :) His credit card referrals alone will bring in quite a bit!

Today was very much a day of two halves.

The positive half saw baby smiles, DD's one month birthday and a NSD with the exception of a small Thermos flask needed to help us manage the timings for night feeds.

The negative side saw me trying to make some money MB, spending far too long doing so and feeling frazzled. Also feeling a bit down because I'm going back to work a day early.

I've had a wonderful opportunity to bond with my daughter and help out in her earliest days (and a break, to boot), but it will be difficult to adapt to the office after the last month.

I have started to wind down the Ascot MB, it's eating too much into the precious time left of my break.

    Grumps aside, a productive day:
    • HM bread, houmous and dinner
    • Tidied away all DD's NHS and Gummint papers, cleared out a load of old banking paperwork for shredding
    • Renewed breakdown cover
    • Wrapped Father's Day present and wrote several cards
    • Ran a nonstop laundry line, cloth nappies are a wee bit of effort, but worth it so far
    • £5 to savings
    • £10 to S&S ISA pot
    • £1 to Emergency Fund
    • £1.60 to DD's Pocket Money pot
    • £1 to family S&S ISA pot

Awww, Ed. Well, I'm glad you remember the baby smiles!

Thing is, you can't really do as much MB as you did, even if you hadn't had the setbacks recently - even young whippersnappers like you can't do it all :):):) Littl'un takes time - those cloth nappies writ large, if you like - and you've only got so much of it.

Are you going back tomorrow? Not surprised you feel grumpy! Take care :)

Thanks KC, don't have to go back until the start of the week luckily. Spending a boring day tomorrow getting ready (new work trousers, bus pass, haircut and dry cleaning). That will leave the final three days as QT with the family :)
  • But you had a wonderful bonding period, memories to last forever. Lovely x. Time to think about the next one soon...

I am not sure Squirrel. If we do go for another, it will probably be sooner rather than later, but we have given some consideration (maybe 33%) to adoption.
  • Evening Mr E, it's wonderful that you've been able to spend this precious time with Juliet. So much happens and the next few years will be full of glorious 'firsts'.

At last it's nearly the weekend now :T

Really great reading through your posts. Financial independance is what i am aiming for - but the edinburgh prices / housing stock means i probably won't be able to move to a "proper house" in doing so. At least i have a garden to go with my double upper.
