  • Really brilliant news re: the scan Ed :j. Have you thought about names? We didn't tell anyone our ideas at all - someone always has to pipe up & tell you that they used to know some horrible person with the name you've chosen grrr . [STRIKE]You can tell us all on here though, that's completely different[/STRIKE] :rotfl:

Can I stick my oar in with regard to the cloth nappies? I've used loads over the years, the best ones IMHO are the ones that fasten with poppers & have spaces for inserts. Do *not* on any account buy the ones that have the initials BM [STRIKE]Trying not to get in trouble by naming & shaming brand here[/STRIKE] :D. They are the Velcro ones that sell in most places & they are rubbish. I know so many people who bought them as they are the obvious choice & they soon gave up & it put them off reusables entirely, so frustrating as there are lots of brilliant real nappies available that save you a bomb & cut down on the plastics too. The local NCT may have a nappy library where you can borrow & try a few before investing as they do all fit a bit differently & it's not a cheap outlay.

I'll get off my hobby horse now but if you want any advice please feel free to PM me I could talk baby poo all day :p

  • 15 weeks to go, how exciting. I was incredibly lucky with nursery furniture. My mum still had mine when my children came along. Unfortunately, at 28 my daughter remains very attached to it when she should have something more spacious.

Fab news on the scan Ed :)
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!

Ooh it's all very exciting, well done on the scan :T
Also feeling a bit like that Tilly. Mrs E has been wanting more meat due to her wonderful condition, but it's killing off my imagination. In the olden days, we tended not to have meat more than a couple of times a week. It's more like 50% of the time now. Cooking without meat requires more effort. With meat, it's pretty much a case of 'cook meat, add veg, end'. :(

I hope that doesn't happen to me as I'm veggie. OH did ask the other day, what will happen if I start craving meat during pregnancy!

Can you tell we're a bit broody in our house? :o
