I don't think the little one is a vacuum, that's probably where the confusion is...

If anyone wants to check if their store has the right one just ask to view it, you don't have to pay for it to see it!

The freebie in mine is a window vacuum but it's not a steamer

Thanks Anic. Will try both the window vacuum and floor steamer tomorrow and feed back what I think.

I got an S2 which I have not opened yet.Would I be correct in thinking I should return it to Argos and try another branch to get the alternative.
  • I went to get one today but got yet another model with a free window vac. Returned it as I bought a Karcher Window vac quite recently and rather wanted a hand held steamer, since I was midway through cleaning the cooker!!
  • All the branches closest to me were out of stock last week so I ordered from Dereham store, 15 miles away. I really wasn't looking forward to turning it down but Yay! got it!

Mine's a s87 cx1 b with free hand held steamer. I've used the mop and it's great - just wish I had a spare mop head but too expensive at Argos.

    Anyway, cheers MSE :)

I ordered one from Lancaster store which came up at £39.99 but when I went in to collect it, they asked me "did you want it for the free thing?". When I said I did, he said, "oh, none of the them have a free thing in, we checked them all yesterday!". So they obviously tried to keep them all for themselves then! Anyway, I left it as I gather it's not that brilliant anyway from your comments on here. I hope I don't regret it particularly as I had trailed in specially, had to park and all that, waste of time!

Does anyone have any tips for how to use the handheld (I got a grime buster) on mirrors/ windows/ glass? I just get a streaky finish with lots of water droplets. I think I am doing something wrong, as Argos product reviews said it gave great results.

Aside, my husband is so excited by this product that he has taken to steaming various parts of the house after work! lol So I REALLY think it's BRILLIANT!

I'd actually like some advice on using it....the instructions are so small that even with reading glasses I can't see them.

I found a link for the Steam Cleaner but haven't so far for the Grime Buster. Help appreciated :)
