    Xmas Saver!
Just been into the Newcastle store and they are showing as no stock on their self service tills and stock checkers. Interestingly when you check surrounding stores there is no stock in any. Just checked on my PC and there is supposedly stock at all but saying 'available to collect in 5 days'.

The available to collect in 5 days means that they have the items being delievered to store, -

You can do it 2 ways-
1st - order by text, catalogue number, then ask for store name, text back out of stock but gives you an option to reserve and you need to reply yes, - then when it comes into store sends you a text to see if you want to reserve it

    or

2nd - if your going be a store take the catalogue number to a till point they can reserve and give you a reservation number and date to collect from. xx
xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx

Hi, I reserved three at 3 different stores within Newcastle upon Tyne. The first two stores I collected them from, Northumberland Street and Eldon Square it was the S88 inside the box and therefore did not come with a free gift. I simply had my money refunded immediately. The third store I went to in Newcastle (Byker branch) I eventually struck gold. It was the S87 in the box along with the free hand held steamer. My determination paid off! All branches in Newcastle are now completely out of stock. Each branch told me that they had been run off their feet for the item!! Many thanks MSE for the tip off!!

I have just been to Newcastle Eldon Square branch and got the s87 with free gift!!!
    It was £39.99 though...

I went to East Ham- no free gift but there was stock in Whitechapel. Went there and was offered the S2 Hardfloor master which looks like a returned item + Argos don't even stock anymore. Should I keep it? Cost-£39.99

    Hey All,

Does it say on the online listing if the freebie is included, or is it a surprise freebie once its delivered? Im looking at it online with a view to ordering it, but it doesnt say about the handheld.

    Thanks x

I also bought the S88-W1M-B and instead got the S87-W2-WV today at Argos (in Arnold, Nottingham), with the free H87-WV-B window vacuum included.

Not used either yet but the reviews for the S87 are not too complimentary on the Argos website. Has anyone else used the S87 yet?

    Thanks.

No, it isn't advertised in catalogue/ website. it seems to be luck of the draw whether you get a substitute with a free handheld steam cleaner.
  • I picked up the freebie hand held one today in Flint North Wales.
Asked to preview the item & was shown the model without a freebie, when I explained about the freebie the lady on the counter ordered another to come which had the free offer sticker on the box.
They had another 8 in stock this afternoon when I was in.
  • I went yesterday to get the mop cleaner- no freebie inside :(

I've used mine and am two minds whether to keep it or not. The floor steamer was fine but the window vac was a big disappointment. I don't know if it is faulty or just badly designed but when i vacuumed my shower screens the water the screens looked lovely and dry but the water just spat out from the vents at the bottom and ended up with my arm all wet.

I can't actually see what the water is meant to go when it is sucked off the glass because the wee tank on the front holds the cleaning fluid so I don't thinkit goes into that. That is why i don't know is it is just badly designed.

I might take it back to see if they have another with a freebie and if not then need to decide if i wasn't to keep the for cleaner without the freebie

I don't think the little one is a vacuum, that's probably where the confusion is...

If anyone wants to check if their store has the right one just ask to view it, you don't have to pay for it to see it!
