I have requested my PAC code from EE (I am moving in less than a month to a £12.90 unlimited internet - monthly contract with THREE)- but as yet, I cannot even get a response from EE executive office !

Could someone please confirm the procedure when EE refuse to cooperate ?

That is odd, we both cancelled our contracts with Orange (I assume they use the same staff or procedure as EE) and received a PAC code straight away.

My partner (business account) got his sent by text and I had to write mine down from a guy with a heavy accent. There was no quibbling, the usual 'why are you leaving us?' and trying to sell us Orange Broadband.

However getting a PUK Code to unlock a handset is a different issue. According to Orange, they have a delay with Samsung.

They normally will give it out over the phone, or agree to send a text shortly and it often arrives while your still on the phone.

You say you cant get a response, How did you contact them?

They usually give it over the phone but in any case MUST give it to you within 2 hours by text. They cannot refuse to give you the PAC. Phone the customer support again and remind them of their responsibilities as stated by ofcom.

If your cancelling because of a dispute and they have agreed a penalty free cancellation you might be stuck. If your cancelling because your out of contract you can just call Customer Service and follow the options to leave.

A similar recent post: Orange won't give me a PAC code- Help!

Yet another proof of what shambles EE are in after this great merger.

They have (reluctantly) given me a code - and VERY GENEROUSLY given me 2 days OFF my agreement - telling me that I have until 31st May to use the code !!
Adding that a final bill will be issued after the closure of my account

I cancelled my contract nearly three weeks ago and when I rang to say I have not received my PAC code they have refused me unless I extend my notice for another 30 days ... in other words they are basically charging me £31+ to give me a PAC code.

How can they get away with this? It is daylight robbery but I bet they have something in small print that allows them to do it.

Don't they realise they are just alienating their customer base. I would not go back to them now if they were the only network on the planet..

The PAC when it is issued has to have a life span of 30 days hence asking for a PAC requires 30 days to run.

There's not much point in doing that if the OP didn't ask for a PAC in the first place.
