Private Parking Charge Scotland - Letter from DRP

Hi folks

I am a newbie here and have been doing a lot of research into the parking charges. I ignored the initial notice from Minster Baywatch and then received a letter from Parking Collection Services which I also ignored.

I have this morning received a letter from DRP (Debt Recovery Plus) which I am also tempted to ignore, the only problem being that as the registered owner of the car, all the letters are in fact coming to my husband.

Should I send a letter asking for correspondence to be sent to my self in that my husband was not the driver of the car?

I don't particularly want to be taken to Court over this - how common is it for Minster Baywatch to take people to Court?

You say you have read the newbies thread. What does it say about how to deal with tickets in Scotland?

it says to ignore, just unfortunate that it is in my husband's name though don't particularly want it being sent to him if there are going to be at least 3 more letters to come.

The only way you can stop that is by outing yourself as the driver, which is exactly what they want as they can only take the driver to court. Does it really matter if they send some junk mail to him?

Inform DRP that your/your husband's agent is now dealing with it, and provide an address.

PM me to have this matter taken off your hands.

You mean you're trying to keep it secret from him? Why?

Just fess up, tell him it's a load of bollox (unenforceable in Scotland) and that THIS WILL NOT GO TO COURT. Then you can (jointly) file and forget all these letters. :)

    Point him to this thread.
