Another feeble attempt at updating my diary.
I have had a positive result this week though as I attempted to recover my ppi from Natwest and I've been offered the princely sum of......£129! Not too bad though as I can use this as spending money when I go to Lord's next month :-)
Only ten days before I can update my signature again and I really must do better.......Start Date 02-09-2024CC1 £569

Reight, signature updated and looking positive. Time to keep the diary updated and keep a track on my spending.
I was paid on Thursday and so far I've spent £30 going to a gig, £11 on a book and cd from amazon, and £12 in Morrison's.

It's going to be an expensive day today as I am going to the match so will have to pay for train fare, match ticket (£20) and beer money so could easily be £70. I am working overtime tomorrow though and I will budget accordingly for the rest of the week. That's the plan anyway....Start Date 02-09-2024CC1 £569

Bad day yesterday. The match was absolute tripe but I spent a total of £81.00 :-(
That was £11.00 for a train ticket, £20 match ticket, and £50 on food and drink. Bit extravagant so will need to keep the purse strings tight this week.Start Date 02-09-2024CC1 £569

After spending over £80 on the weekend after pay day, I have tried to limit my spending this week and have allowed myself £80. I have £15.50 left to last me until Thursday which shouldn't be a problem as I don't need much and I get free travel to work.
I went out for a few beers on Saturday and got a curry on my way home. Yesterday I went to watch the tour de Yorkshire (free) and then to the match (free as I have a season ticket), I bought a bovril at the match and a pint after so spent less than £5.00.
I am going to allow myself £90.00 for next week.Start Date 02-09-2024CC1 £569

Another month closer to freedom.
I came in last month £100 under budget and so far I've only spent about £120 since pay day so not doing too bad. I'm trying to limit myself to £75 this week and so far spent £55 so this more than doable. By weekly I mean each week since pay so this month runs Friday to Thursday if that makes sense. I don't really have any need to limit myself this week but I suppose it's just to prove myself I can do it.

I have had a very frustrating day today.
Long story short but I have managed to pay my mortgage twice. The provider had agreed to refund it by BACS last Friday so I was expecting it to clear by tomorrow at the latest. This has not been processed so I am now looking at next Tuesday at the earliest......unless they can sort something out by tomorrow which they have advised they will do their best.
I really need this sorting as I have a big weekend planned and I can't do it without that money. Fingers crossed........Start Date 02-09-2024CC1 £569

Another payment gone out. The finishing line is in sight - just six months to go.
This month's plan is to allow myself £90 per week. I've had a bit of a splurge this week on CDs and bought four but it came in at less than £30. I've done a bit of food shopping so as it stands I have £56 to last me until Monday.Start Date 02-09-2024CC1 £569
