Mixed today. Didn't spend a single penny but found out I have missed out on a promotion at work which has been a bit hard to take. I've been told I can go for it again in a couple of months so I'm trying not to dwell on it too much but I'm a bit down tonight.Start Date 02-09-2024CC1 £569

hi,
I am REALLY trying to think what's for you won't go past you at the moment.
Did you get any feedback as to why you didn't get it? Is there anything you can change?
Sorry Billy piper is on tv with a very distracting Irish accent......how odd...
ahem. remember, what's for you won't go past you

I have been promised feedback and a development plan and a chance to to apply again in a couple of months so I shouldn't be too downhearted. I'm just struggling a bit today.

I was planning on not spending anything today but I was still reeling a bit from the job news so I decided to treat myself to a pint of beer on the way home. It cost £2.78 so gone over this week's budget by £2.29!Start Date 02-09-2024CC1 £569

Morning HMF,
You're bound to be feeling bad about the job but don't give up hope! The fact that you got as far as an interview is brilliant and will prepare you for the next time and you will get the job next time.
Well done on your budgeting so far, you're doing great and you're entitled to a treat now and again so that you don't feel like you are just a slave to the debt. Hope the pint was nice

Back to work tomorrow and will hopefully get my PDP signed off which might make me feel better.
Most of this week's spare cash has gone -£13 in Morrison's, £30 on some beers and a curry, and I put £20 to one side to pay for my trip to Trent Bridge in July. This leaves me £12 to last until Friday but I don't have much to shell out for before then.

Spent £50 at the wedding on Saturday and £13 on shopping yesterday which leaves me with £12 until Friday. Not great but I don't have really need to spend before then.
I'm back to work tomorrow and I am really not in the mood for it. Hopefully I'll feel differently when I get there.Start Date 02-09-2024CC1 £569
