What do i need to upgrade?

Hello,

I've recently bought a cheap pc that has quite good specs.
and am running bo2 at 30 fps at low graphics

My pc specs
AMD FX 4130 Quad core processor 3.80ghz
4GB RAM
64 bit
AA12MD Radeon HD 5450 - 1GB Graphics card

Would do i need to upgrade to get more fps and a more powerfull pc.

I've no idea what bo2 might be? Some kind of game presumably?
But that's a very basic graphics card, worth about £20.
So I would imagine that's where some money needs to be spent.

Have a look at these benchmarks.
    http://www.videocardbenchmark.net/
The HD 5450 gets a score of 233, whereas for just over £50 you could get the Radeon HD 6670, which gets a score of 1045.
    You'd probably want a 400w psu though.

^^^ something like that, and possibly (depending on your current configuration) some more RAM

I have a dodgy "i" key, so ignore spelling errors due to "i" issues, ...I blame Apple :D

    Motherboard make/model? Power supply make/model/specs?
4GB RAM should be fine. No PC game requires more. (Well Watch Dogs does but its not out yet;)

Thats not actually true, there are other games that require more. But 4GB is generally fine for most games.

While having more memory could help, it would be much better to upgrade the GPU, as that will give the biggest performance gain in most games

Surely you've heard of Call of Duty: Black Ops II? No?

The weakest link in the chain is the 5450. I would be tempted to save up a bit and buy a Geforce GTX 770, which is about £250 or so here in the UK. Budget an extra £100 for a really good power supply.

Then keep the PSU and GTX 770 when you upgrade the rest of the machine, a couple of years from now.

Let's try a mid-range graphics card...£115 (we need to know the spec of the existing power supply though)

    That's a cheap power supply.
The HD 7850 and GTX 750 Ti will both use upto 180Watts and so you should be ok (fingers crossed).
