similar 7850 at dabs for £100, £20-odd quid less ;)

thing is, once you get over a certain gfx level, you won't normally see much if any difference in on-screen playing experience. There was a thread on here recently with a link to a very good real-world comparison...and even some hardcore gamers thought the lower-spec machine was actually the very expensive higher-spec one... can't find the thread, but it was only in the last couple of months.....

I have a dodgy "i" key, so ignore spelling errors due to "i" issues, ...I blame Apple :D

I assume you mean 7850? I don't think the RAM will make any difference but I guess its quite cheap.

I do mean the 7850. Typo*

I'm 14 and it was my birthday recently so i thought i would upgrade my computer. I don't want to spend money i don't need to spend. Is it worth me getting RAM?

Try the video card first. Worry about the RAM later.

    That's a cheap power supply.
The HD 7850 and GTX 750 Ti will both use upto 180Watts and so you should be ok (fingers crossed).

The GTX 750ti shouldn't draw that much power, that's the advantage of it as it's based on newer technology.
Therefore in theory it's a safer upgrade with a not so great power supply.

Its a cheap PSU (£15 to buy). It should work (fingers crossed). An HD7850 will take about 180Watts when under load.

A gaming forum (or others here) will offer better advice than me. But common sense says a serious gaming rig should start off with a decent PSU;) I bought a decent PSU to replace a cheap job 5 years ago. The cheap one is still working.
