I just did that and it says that there is no fault known in my area.
Then I would suggest you follow the advice given in the next sentence of Lee's post:
If no information comes up, I'd then recommend following the troubleshooting steps on our eForum, which have been linked to here, so we can look into things further.

Is the fault happening indoors, outdoors, or both? Both
Is the phone still showing a strong signal when the call drops? Shows a full signal
Are either you, or the person on the other end of the call moving around when it drops? No.

What phone is it you're using?

It probably doesn't matter as the OP has already said the problem occurs with another phone (although I suppose both phones could be the same model).

Is it an Iphone 4, 4s by any chance?

If so, mine was doing exactly the same as you, especially if it is hands free in car. Neither Vodafone or Apple had a fix for it. I then got an update from Apple to change from Ios 7.0 to 7.1. This has so far fixed the issue.

It is well known issue on Ios 6 too I believe.

Well it's worth knowing if the fault happens over the 2G network, 3G network or even both.
You can peg most phones to connect to 2G only but the iPhone 5S and 5C don't have that option.

In your mobile network settings there should be an option to connect to GSM / GPRS / 2G only (all the same thing more or less)Try selecting that and see if calls still drop
It'll make mobile internet slow but it's worth knowing if the fault affects 2G, 3G or both.

  • I have already tried that, and same thing happens.

Did you follow the advice that Lee gave earlier?...

  • I have already been through all of those steps with no solution, just the same thing happening.

I also did the same thing on the phone, same thing happens.

Yesterday, I barely got 13 minutes out of a call before I was cut off, and I am not the only one having this problem it seems (according to Vodafone themselves).
