Vodafone, and dropped calls, and ignorance.

Hello again.
I have been on Vodafone for a number of years and recently went to contract around 3 years or so ago.
For the last 2 weeks, I have had many dropped calls and when I call them to resolve it, I get ignorance, and mocked over it.
This in my view is not a way to conduct business, and is tantamount to fraud because they are taking money out of my bank account (via direct debit for a contract) without providing me the proper service that I am paying for. This is getting absurd and outrageous!
The last 40 minutes I have spoken to the people in Egypt and was met with repetition of "no solution" and not given one despite the problem happening for over 2 weeks!!
Can I do anything about this?
P.S. When I ask questions, I get repetitive answers. And was promised that it was resolved 2 weeks ago.

Try a different phone. Sometimes its the handset thats the issue.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0

I have already tried that.
It was happening on my previous phone too.0 -
Are the dropped calls typically happening at a single location (eg your office or home)0
-
Is the fault happening indoors, outdoors, or both?
Is the phone still showing a strong signal when the call drops?
Are either you, or the person on the other end of the call moving around when it drops? All your base are belong to us.0 -
Is the fault happening indoors, outdoors, or both? Both
Is the phone still showing a strong signal when the call drops? Shows a full signal
Are either you, or the person on the other end of the call moving around when it drops? No.0 -
Have you asked for a replacement SIM? Sounds to me like it could be faulty if it's happening with more than one phone (although as you haven't answered Ant555's question that could still be a possible issue).0

The SIM is brand new!
They have also said that there is a known network issue and have no time scale on a fix for it making me suffer!0 -
So is the answer to Ant555's question a Yes? These things happen with a single mast sometimes, could you get Vodafone to redirect your calls to another number (landline or a cheap PAYG on another network)?0

Hi thetriggerhappypwner,
Thanks for making me away of this.
As it appears that we're already aware of a fault in your area, you can check and register for updates via the Network status checker on our website.
I'm afraid I'm unable to link you directly to it due to the posting guidelines which company representatives are required to follow.
If no information comes up, I'd then recommend following the troubleshooting steps on our eForum, which have been linked to here, so we can look into things further.
Kind regards,
Lee

I just did that and it says that there is no fault known in my area.
Can you explain this?0
