SarahB1989 I use the la roche posay effaclar toner and just realised I have never looked at the ingredients list
once have UU might try a different one as I don't like to use products with a high alcohol content really. The toner is quite drying (as you would expect I guess).
KT, just a couple of points to add on the Dermablend;
It stays very wet. I always shower twice a day as my work is very physical and I need to destink and reapply my face before DH gets homeHowever, yesterday he was out rehearsing and I delayed my second shower until about 9pm; by that time my face was not a pretty sight
My skin is very dry but it looked horribly oily, and the coverage had gone v. patchy, my nose was basically bare! And that's after powdering with Stay Matte. I've never had this with any other foundation, ever, the box claims 16hour coverage but I'm disputing that.
And this morning, I woke up to not one but TWO HUGE spots on my chin. Great big under-the-surface bad boys, the kind which hurt when you talk and if you dare to smile then you briefly consider cutting your own head off just to escape the pain. I'm no stranger to big spots but as AF has just packed her bags for the month, these are out of the ordinary for me. I can't definitively point my finger at the foundation but I'm eyeing it with suspicion. I'll persevere for a few more days and let you know my further thoughts. I'm such a martyr to the cause
Have you got any witch hazel you could apply to your new "friend"? DH swears by aftershave, but he's a man so what does he know?!
Funny that we apply our bases in the same way with the same tools! Are we makeup twins, somehow separated at birth?!
Thanks again FizzWhizz - you are doing a good job of putting me off it a bit now which I am grateful for as really DO NOT need another foundation!! Your skin looked great in the first picture but sounds like the foundation isn't very long wearing. This is important to me in terms of wearing make up for work etc. I have quite oily skin so I dread to think how long it would last on me before smearing off my faceI prefer foundations that dry down more IYKWIM.
Doesn't sound great if it has caused you to break out eitherhope the spots go down without fully emerging and that the pain lessens. I hate those sort of spots.
I have just used the origins spot treatment stuff on the huge new spot on my face - think this has got salicylic acid and witch hazel in. Have only recently started using this, seems to be alright, nothing amazing but these things never are really! Don't fancy putting aftershave on my spots either really :rotfl:
I love the real techniques buffing brush - it is amazing! Have you tried the expert face brush? I don't like that one as much.
Also, being nosy - what do you do for your job (if you don't mind saying?!) I am intrigued now!0 -
Hi all.
Hope the people suffering with spots get rid of them soon. Ones on the chin are supposed to be hormonal I believe but I don't suppose that is set in stone.
I have some uu
Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish 30ml - WDBA and already have full sizes in the stash.
Dove Supreme Body Silk Body Cream - I really like this and WBA and already have another in the stash although they have changed the name now slightly. It has the gorgeous Dove fragrance, a lovely texture and best of all it sinks in quickly so you can get dressed easily.
Clinique Naturally Glossy Mascara - WBA but I have loads of mascara to use first, I have replaced it with Eyeko Skinny Mascara which I have used this morning and my first impressions are good, I will see how it looks at the end of the day. I also have a Benefit They're Real mini on the go too.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

Don't think I have seen rougeylawyer or mad scientist recently - sorry if I have missed your posts but hope you are both ok anyway.
Welcome hieveryone - different people do different things on here. Some people post a whole stash list whilst others just post a list of items that they are targeting to use up. Or you can just post things that you use up or buy. We don't really have any rules - just do whatever works for you :)
Thanks KT, I'm still here, I just haven't had any UU to post for the whole monthI'm sure I'll manage something out the stash in May!!
Hi to hieveryone!I have written out a stash list on the computer for most things but haven't posted it up (due to the humungousness of it). It takes ages to do at first but really really focuses the mind on what you have.

[QUOTE=VALM;65523473
Did purchase a bottle of OPI Don't Pretzel My Buttons for Emma yesterday as it's a fave of hers and she's working so hard at the moment. Has started her GCSEs. Am planning to go and get her a bottle of Chillin Like a Villain (?) tomorrow too. The bottle I bought yesterday was reduced to £4.00 in Sally's so not a bad gift. The Chillin one though is a new Muppet colour so will be full price.[/QUOTE]
Did go back to Sallys yesterday and got a bottle of Chillin Like a Villain plus a bottle of Barefoot in Barcelona. There was a sign on the window for 3for2 Salon Services. I only saw the 3for2 and as I was picking up a bottle of I Vant to Bite your Neck for my friend at work I thought I'd take advantage and get a freebie. It didn't work out that way but then I couldn't make myself replace the bottle of BIB on the shelf. Very lovely colour though.
Another UU and IN : Liz Earle C&P - 30ml tube gone, 100ml pump opened.I have just used the origins spot treatment stuff on the huge new spot on my face - think this has got salicylic acid and witch hazel in. Have only recently started using this, seems to be alright, nothing amazing but these things never are really! Don't fancy putting aftershave on my spots either really :rotfl:
My daughter has just started using the Clinique Blemish treatment that contains salicylic acid. I'll ask her how she is getting on with this for you.Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

The emptying of 2 dry shampoos and not being able to find any more
!
has prompted me to do an update, I've gone through and checked off the things I missed... 174 was my start for may, 2 ins but down to 164(mostly from giving bars of soap to my mum!)
I think whats helping is I have moved from glossy magazines like cosmo to Womens health and runners world!
xI hope you know your capable, & brave, & significant.
even when it feels like your not....0 -
3 INs
Went to B00ts today and came out with:
Good Things manuka honey creamy cleanser 150ml. This is what I went in there for as all the GT range are 1/3 off and I wanted to try this. The face washes I have at the mo are both scrubs so a bit harsh for everyday use I think.
I also noticed that the Bami lip balms had £2 off so got a strawberry and a coconut flavour. I've wanted to try these for a bit and I like the fact that you can put these on your keyring as I'm a bit OCD about lip balm. If I forget to take some out with me I'll more than likely buy one from somewhereNever say never0 -
FizzWhizz - thanks for sharing the Dermablend info and pics. It looks amazing! Such a shame it doesn't last well. I wanted to rush out and buy it based on your photograph but my skin tends to be oily and can break down foundation so I imagine it'd have even less lasting power on me.
I have two UUs and then a whole FAIL of INs...
137. Orico Transcend Marine Radiance Serum (S 10ml?) - WNB as it didn't seem to do anything
138. Perricone MD Advanced Face Firming Activator (S 30ml) - WMBA but only on a *super* special offer. (This one was a generous sample size)
I'm looking forward to choosing a new serum to use from the stash
First, the NBIs (from a Red mag sub offer)
All Charles Worthington Salon At Home range
Instant Amplifying Treatment (200ml)
Volume And Bounce Shampoo (250ml) - will have to be cautious with this as it has SLS in it
Volume And Bounce Conditioner (250ml)
Thick & Full 3D Boosting Cream (100ml)
Root Lift Backcomb Powder (7g)
(I don't have so much of a problem with hair products but I couldn't ignore that lot! :rotfl:)
The real fail is the YOU CEW award beauty box...
Dr Organic Moroccan Argan Oil Treatment Serum (100ml)
Philip Kingsley Elasticizer (40ml)
Elemis PCMC (15ml)
Glamglow Youth Mud (15g)
L'Occitane Almond Milk Concentrate (50ml)
Manuka Doctor Bee Venon Samples (5ml, 3ml and 7ml)
I am very happy with it but it definitely wasn't necessary.
The second YOU beauty box isn't as bad as I chose a make-up brush and a foot cream that promises to help work magic on discoloured nails (yuk! Sorry...) The foot cream has been delayed so they enclosed a glass nail file to say sorry :T
That's me on the naughty step for the rest of the month0 -
