Just googled and it say 94% of Lidl's now have the in-store bakery so you stand a fair chance.
If your spare half hour is on a Saturday check out their half price offers as well, although sometimes they sell out quite quickly.
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.

I actually do both when I go shopping. The last Thursday in the month its worth buying a Daily Mirror as you get a £5.00 voucher (plus often a few others ) for Aldi's if you spend £40.00 I usually get extra bits to help my DD out for the children, squash and basic stuff to make it up to the £40.00.

If I decide that the Lidl offers are worth having I will drive to my nearest one specifically to get the offers and nearly always find something worth having there I try to do two shops a month (there is only me to feed:):):)) and get by for the rest of the month just buying locally as and when needed.Usually my big forty pound shop does me for two to three weeks and the smaller one tops up.I budget for myself for £60.00 per month for food alone and often have a few bob left in my seperate food purse at the end of the month which gets put into the holiday ice cream tin for my DGC when we go away on our annual holidays
Almost never use MrT anymore and on the odd occassion I will pop to Sainsbobs but I do like M&S large eggs(my Dd gave me a 25% money off voucher for the eggs and I got 12 large fresh free range ones for £2.40 insted of £3.30 last Saturday.I am an inveterate coupon clipper and often save quite a bit with hunting out the bargains. But I guess you have to have the time and inclination (both of which I have in abundance :):):))

I prefer Lidl as our Aldi is a bit unpleasant.

Aldi for me, our Lidl is quite an old store (never cleaned properly and the staff are a nightmare and can't be bothered.)although they have the bakery (which is the only thing I use now there). I find the Lidl cheeses quite expensive but that could just be our branch.

I think the only thing on your list I've not seen in Aldi is marmite, but everything else is super quality and decent prices. OH and I can fill a trolley in Aldis and only spend around £40.
CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. You can enjoy it even if you don't understand it and too much can give you a headache the next day J

Around where I live I would choose Aldi every time. I go to Lidl once in a blue moon if they have a really special offer, but the shop is cramped and dirty. My local Aldi is clean, with friendly staff and enough room to swing a trolley :)

Lidl for me too. I prefer their bread, salads, cheese, cooked meats, they have lots of 30% off fresh meats and fish with days left on and its not as busy as our Aldi.
  • I went to Aldi 1 week and Lidl the next with exactly the same shopping list.......Aldi was cheaper by comparison but I prefer to shop at Lidl

My vote is for Aldi. Our one has more choice than Lidl and is cleaner and tidier. It also sells marmite.

Aldi for me - I drive to the next town to use it, whereas there are 2 larger Lidls in the town I live in. I find Lidl's layout a bit haphazard and harder to navigate than Aldi.

Also, I think the Specially Selected range in Aldi is wonderful for picking up treats at really good prices.

Having said that, I do visit Lidl for their frozen prawns, which taste better than Aldi's, and for golden syrup, which Aldi don't sell bizarrely!
